Maybe a slightly deeper foundation and different undertone. This is way too warm.
Concealer is typically thicker then foundation. That’s why it conceals the spots that foundation may not cover. Still a cute look though.
I do no foundation all the time!! Usually what I do is just put concealer that's close to my skin tone in my eye area because I do have dark circles and discoloration , slap on a pressed powder to set it , add blush (sometimes I do a little bronzer or highlighter if I got time, but ALWAYS blush since it gives my face life) , mascara , tinted brow gel and gloss and I'm set!!
I hate how people are so negative about the video. Everyone's routine is different. Just because one has a different take on it doesn't make it any less better or worse than the next. I usually never say anything, but that's frustrating as a long time viewer

Kelsey I see where you were going with the video but the concealer was heavy and then blended all over the face like foundation then you added powder and highlighter and a lipstick that basically your full routine. Maybe next time use a small amount of concealer on the spots(blended only on the spots)and then maybe a powder and mascara that’s all. Other than your lashes it looks like your full face. Just a thought. It came out pretty though
This kinda seems like false advertising. Saying a full face without foundation and then using a full face of full coverage concealers is totally missing the point of no foundation looks. This is using concealer the exact same way one would use foundation and is still full coverage...

I said it was misleading because it was. Most people who are clicking on an everyday face, no foundation video are doing so to see a more minimal makeup application. You don’t need to have a bare face to follow the same process as what people are usually searching for with this concept. She used two super high coverage concealers as most use foundation to create a full face of makeup. She didn’t just spot or pinpoint conceal. You don’t need to be looking for a bare face to see that this video is a full face of makeup using concealer instead of foundation and is disingenuous to the concept of no foundation.
Naimah Jennings she never said minimal though so it’s not misleading if you or anyone else read something that wasn’t there.
Naimah Jennings And please remember that your everyday makeup isn’t her everyday makeup so if it was too much for you than just don’t use as much concealer. It’s literally that simple.

When I do my “ no foundation” makeup routine. I just correct under my eyes with a skin tone concealer and set with powder. I love using the Nars soft matte concealer and Sephora micro smooth powder. So I get where people are coming from in the comments. Everyone does things differently though.

Some of you clearly have not watched any of her previous makeup videos. Yes, this LOOKS the same as having on foundation HOWEVER she used far less steps than she usually would have. Loved the look Kelsey!

These comments are rude af! like dang. She literally did not put a drop of foundation on her face! You can use more or less concealer depending on YOUR OWN PERSONAL PREFERENCE then set with a powder. It’s super quick, and gets the job done. Whew Chilee... 🤦🏾♀️ these comments are tew murrrch!

I’m still getting into the makeup game so I have a few questions. Wouldn’t full coverage concealer be the same as foundation? And if you use concealer all over your face, shouldn’t it be a darker shade because concealer is usually lighter than your foundation. When I don’t wanna do foundation I just use a tinted face powder to even out my skin tone.

Naturally Latrice the point they are making is what’s the point in putting a concealer all over instead of a foundation? It literally took the same amount of energy. Lakia Keely maybe to you. That’s light makeup compared to her usual full coverage. This is her channel afterall. There’s plenty of other channels and videos if this didn’t fit your taste
I have not tried the Fenty concealer. Is it lighter on the skin vs. using a foundation? Just asking because it's a pain going to the Sephora and it looks like the Fenty concealer is being used like a foundation in this video.

Some of y’all must be new to this channel or something because Kelsey clearly titled the video NO FOUNDATION in capital letters, yet y’all complaining about her using concealer “all over”. In actuality, if you’re familiar with her normal full face/glam looks she always highlights those same exact areas on her face but does usually add a bit more concealer and sometimes even goes a few shades lighter than the one she used in this video. I’m not understanding what all the confusion is about...

Y’all just refuse to put on the right shade. If everyone is telling you that you look orange, you look orange! I’m glad someone told me 15 years ago I was wearing the wrong shade so that I could stop looking crazy! Been a stickler for matching correctly ever since.

Here's the thing...everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If some people like the video and some people don't for whatever reason, they have that right. It doesn't mean they're being rude or mean. I'm sure Kendra and Kelsey are aware of how people respond to all their videos with different opinions. Thats how youtube is!

The title is not a “no make-up, make-up look.” She’s clearly using the concealer as a substitute for foundation.... what aren’t some of y’all understanding?

YS Richy that’s the point of the video. The concealer is being used as a foundation. What she did would normally be done on top of foundation.... so, there is no layer of foundation.........meaning this is a no foundation routine.
Reading the title I assumed she would have nothing covering her skin. That's why I clicked on the video because I never use foundation or anything and thought this would be a helpful video.
It's all about how a person interprets the title. So, technically I see it from your perspective, but at the same token, my perspective is right as well because she didn't use foundation. But, all in all, I feel like all of the people complaining can't be upset because their interpretation and kelsey's interpretation of "no foundation" is different. Love the look!! Grunge lip liner is my all time favorite lip liner, it's so buttery smooth and I wear it everyday. But, it's discontinued now! I usually stock up 5 at a time, so when I get low, I re order. I'm currently searching for a dupe of this color and texture, so if anyone has a dupe, please let me know. I Love This! I've never used foundation before, I think I rather use concealer. I'm glad you're feeling better! You're so right about how these bosses still have us coming to work sick! Some don't care and expect you to have a Doctor's excuse when you come back and if you don't it's a write up. Like you said, some people just need to rest and medicate themselves. I love doing this! Makes you look alive and your skin is still breathable. I pop on a lash every now and then to spice it up if I’m going out at night. & plus this takes less work removing. 🤗

The point was less steps not less coverage. 🙄 I only fill my brows and throw on gloss for work but this would be perfect for a quick, "I'm late (as usual) & need to pull it together" type situation. I don't know why these churren don't think you need to blend out the dang concealer! It would look a little strange to just have concealer dots on your face that aren't blended. Smh... I'm going to try this out. I have a love hate relationship with foundation and recently I just realize that foundations that are more matte don't look right on my skin even though my skin is more on the oily side but I also have texture. I feel like a concealer might look more natural and light on my skin. I'm going to check out the one you used. :)
