Me too. Im a 430 (winter) 440(summer) in the Fenty foundation. I let a Sephora employee match me with the gadget they use and she matched by my chest and recommended I get Fenty 390 😳. Ummmm maam no! Thats too light 🤦🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️ lol

What a beautiful look! The way you shaped your shadow, really accentuates your natural eye shape. That primer actually works well for me too, and I have normal to dry skin. Yeah, that highlighter was boring to me too. Plus mine is so hard to open, which annoys me. I've only used it 2 or 3 times, but I'm already over it. I think I'll try out that concealer.

Try Everyhue Tinted Moisturizer! It is buildable to a full coverage foundation. Also there is no orangey tones to it either. It's amazingggg! I think you are shade 5 Kelsey.

I agree with not letting anyone rush you to decorate. It takes some time I’ve been in my home for almost 2 years now and still not finished decorating. I’m not in boxes lol but not completely finished with the look. So take your time so that it’s perfect for you guys💕
Definitely explore more of Juvias Place palettes. I have about 6 of them and they haven't disappointed me!! The warrior palette is pretty , but I know i have shades similar to that in other palettes. One palette from them I always recommend is the Masquerade !! To me, that one is perfect mix of matte and shimmer, as well as bold and neutral tones. They also have a mini version of some of their palettes, so the pan size is smaller and more practical to use up vs the giant pan size. I think y'all would like the Warrior II as well!
You're really good at making your foundation shade work for you. You always look so flawless. I struggle a lot to with finding the right foundation shade. I rely on powder and bronzer to fix everything.
OfficialJaelTV I set it with the dewy spray spray because I have dry skin... but that spray is entirely too dewy with that foundation so I got the setting spray in the clear bottle... but you could set it with the matte spray that Milani carries as well
Kelsey it was nice seeing you try different things! I’m particular about certain things I try lol if it works why change it! I sometimes have the same problem with foundation as well. We as melanin women have all different shades all over our entire body. Just do what works for YOU! ♥️

I agree. My face is lighter in the center and dark around the perimeters. I’ve found that getting a foundation that matches my neck is more appealing to me.. if I matched my face to my chest I would look like I have on a mask. My chest is so much lighter than my face. I love the too faced born this way foundation in the shade hazelnut.. you and Kendra should try it, It doesn’t make me orange like other foundations I’ve tried.

I completely agree. I thought my shade didn't exist for years until I realized that I was trying the wrong depth and especially undertone. Like come on, now it's 2019, even if you don't get an exact match, there's probably something closer than that 🍊. If it looks grey\bright it's too light; of it looks green\yellow there's need for more red; if it looks too red there's need for more yellow. In another vid they used Fenty 440 and it looked sooo much better. Maybe one day they can try a colab with a professional to get matched. As a long time follower it would mean so much to me lol...Ik, I'm weird.

A great tip for your foundation is to pay close attention to the undertones of your skin. If you appear to have multiple undertones you are most likely neutral. As far as the neck/chest/debate only match to your chest if your chest is actually visible. Bobbi Brown has great shade range for black women, especially those of us with neutral undertones. Hope that helps ❤️

I personally match to my chest as that is easier to see AND my chest is the first part of my body to darken evenly in the warmer months. Also, let people complain, they almost never have anything constructive to add.

For a long time chestnut was the last color in the selection. Luckily I believe they’ve expanded now. But chestnut is my closest color as well. I like the foundation personally. Darker drugstore tones are very difficult to find. Especially depending on your location. I use my juvia’s place shimmery shadows as highlighter too. That palette looks like it has some great shadow “highlighters”.

I would try more cool or neutral toned foundations. I think the real problem is just the orange undertone. The eye look is bombbbb💕
