Thanks, there's something magical about playing a fish on a split cane rod and I've got other videos where the bottle top actually works as a bobbin rather than something to lash the rods together!
Rest assured; we've all suffered the "knit one, pearl one" scenario when fishing two rods.....although, I've never actually seen the "wrap yer bottle top 'round the other rod" technique before, beautifully demonstrated here...quick flick of the wrist and around it goes!!!
I've got various old Mitchell's that I still use although I do have a couple of small baitrunners for feeder fishing although I'm very much a centrepin man at heart 🎣
You should - it will bring a whole new level if enjoyment to your fishing. They are excellent fun for surface fishing/stalking carp in the margins as well trotting on rivers👍👍
