Thanks for the video I was aware of the flashing lights for inspection but just opened my pool up here in the north east and have both lights steadily illuminated. I figured it was just my salt level being really low as it's only 2100 ppm. I had to drain the pool a few inches below return for winter and added a lot of freshwater. I was worried my cell wasn't working so I planned on adding salt soon but this video makes me feel much better. Thanks for posting, exactly what I needed to see.
What is it when my Aqua troll shows 0 salt levels and check salt and inspect cell are solid ON ?? I have salt in the pool, it's not definatelly 0..is it that the cell is out and need replacement? thanks.
Hello. Thank you for the video. I am wondering if you know why the SWG would be reading at 2300 if the salt level of the water when tested is actually much higher around 3200? Also, will the SWG shut off completely if the reading is too low?
Hi. I just but house. So the generator was defectiv . Work little bit. I but 1 more. Salt and cell led on solid. The salt lv 2000. The tech tell me cell needs be replac. Maybe just not enough salt? And if i will add what the proper way to do ? Pump on? Generator outo ? power AC Off? Thanks a lot
My box says: SLo and the lights are on: check salt, Inspect cell and the two first light on the top are green. My water is back to green. Just getting frustrated.
Great video! Mine are blinking and I think they are steady too at times. When I got my water checked it did not have a reading of chlorine - so they said they think my salt cell is bad. This is the 3rd year the lights are blinking but the water is staying clear. I think I need DIY Bill to check it out!
Press the diagnostic button 5 times for a real time salt level. Also, turn off your generator for a day or two when you add salt. If you don't, you can damage the board.
My salt level is reading 0 on my generator and my check salt and inspect cell lights are on solid. I had the water tested at our local pool company and the the salt level is perfect. What could be wrong ?
Help! my salt reading is 4100 and stuck there, (we changed t-15 cell to t-9 and re calibrated it to the t-9 cell), but the diagnostic board shows 4100 BUT the actual is 3400. and the amperage shows 00.0 ; but when re calibrate everything goes into normal range except the salt both instant and main screen. then they wont stay in normal range, such as the amperage back to 00.0 just changed the cell after 6 years , so the board maybe is bad too??? 10K gallon pool......
If I don’t want to use the timer on the Aquatrol because I already have an intermatic timer for my pump, do I leave the AquaTrol on continuous run for the pump?
My Aqua Trol is saying that my salt level is low but the test strips are saying I have the correct level. The aqua trol is saying 2200 and the test strip is showing about 3200. Any ideas?
I believe you can take it to a pool store and have them test the cell to make sure it's operating properly. Not sure where you live but Leslie's pool offers testing
I have the same problem and it displays 300 salt level, but my salt level is a little high at 3700. I had Leslie’s check my cell and they said it’s fine. What now?
So my low salt and inspect light is on. We were having an issue of too much salt and liked with fresh water etc. should I add more salt or go get it checked first. This has been going on for couple weeks and so frustrating.
What if I just installed Hayward and the two lights came on steady already added a 40 pound bag of salt and the lights for check salt and inspect cell are still on should I add another 40lbs bag ?
Thank you. I have a feeling my T cell setting might be wrong. When I scroll thru all the options using the diagnostic button to select the T cell option it does not show up on the screen but it used to. Any ideas, can I do a full factory reset?
Hey John, try recalibrating your cell before you do a factory restore. Here is a link to recalibrate the cell. Let me know if this works. www.inyopools.com/HowToPage/how_to_recalibrate_the_salt_level_on_a_hayward_aqua_rite.aspx
Hello. I noticed you turned the timer switch on when you added salt. I’ve never done that. Should I be doing that every time I add salt? And how long do you leave it on before turning it back to the automatic timer position?
I always turn on the timer/filter when adding salt. I usually let it run 24 to 48 hours, depending on how much salt I add, to make sure my levels are correct
Great video I understand a little bit better now when my lights are flashing. But what about when they are constantly soild or flashing After I have added salt and or have cleaned my cell
Hey Gabe, good question. I haven't found any info on how to change the default screen. You might want to try resetting back to ther default settings. I'm opening my pool in the next couple of days, I'll play around with the display to see if I can change it. If I'm successful, I'll reply back. If you figured it out I'd be interested what you did.
The check salt and inspect cell light on our unit is "on". The salt level indicates 0. We have followed all steps to reset as well as cleaned the cell but we continue to get the same result. We took a sample of water to our local pool supplier and had the water tested and the test indicates the salt level is 3400. I think we need a new cell. Any other suggestions?
At my local pool store they have a device that can check to see if the cell is bad. I would do that before purchasing a new cell because the control board could also be bad. Good luck!
There is a part on the motherboard that needs to be replaced. It has 2 solder points. It's black and about the size of a quarter and about 1/4in thick. There are other videos on replacing it. 2021 the part is about $10. It worked for my unit couldn't get a salt reading at all. Now that I replaced its reading salt level again.
I pressed super chlorinate due to frequent low chlorine , all the lights turned on and suddenly buncha bugs appeared in the pool, now all lights stay on says Chlorinator off high amps

Thanks so much. Did not get instructions from pool contractor. Your instructions are very clear....
Best video I've found so far for these codes
3 TO 5 SEC WORKED! Thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you, I was ready to buy a new salt cell, now I don't have to .🙂
Recently I added a bag of salt, yet the "check salt" and "Inspect Cell" lights were still on solid. What could be the problem/

Would it do the same thing if the salt level is too high?
Thanks buddy, you’re video saved me hundreds 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I GOT THE SAME ANSWER FROM MY POOL STORE . eITHER THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CHECK FOR SALT OR LIKE MINE THEY ARE TRYING TO SELL YOU SOME NEW STUFF.
Press the diagnostic button 5 times for a real time salt level. Also, turn off your generator for a day or two when you add salt. If you don't, you can damage the board.

Hmmm? My first guess is that the board is bad but I'm not positive? Let me do so research. If you resolve, please post.

Correct
I have the Tcell940 what should my setting be on my Hayward system 15,9,5,3
Thanks for the video, how many gallons is your pool?
Thanks! It's around 8,000 gallons

I have the same problem and it displays 300 salt level, but my salt level is a little high at 3700. I had Leslie’s check my cell and they said it’s fine. What now?
Drain water out, then add water back. Do not add salt and check your levels again
So my low salt and inspect light is on. We were having an issue of too much salt and liked with fresh water etc. should I add more salt or go get it checked first. This has been going on for couple weeks and so frustrating.
I would get the cell inspected first. Make sure you put the cell in the right direction
What if I just installed Hayward and the two lights came on steady already added a 40 pound bag of salt and the lights for check salt and inspect cell are still on should I add another 40lbs bag ?
Depends on how many gallons your pool is? Should be a chart on the back of the salt bag which explains how much salt to add
What if those two lights are blinking?
Thank you. I have a feeling my T cell setting might be wrong. When I scroll thru all the options using the diagnostic button to select the T cell option it does not show up on the screen but it used to. Any ideas, can I do a full factory reset?

Great video

After I have added salt and or have cleaned my cell
What's the salt level reading? Maybe too much?
Thanks for this video!
My Aqua Rite does not default to the salinity level but defaults to the % chlorine output screen. How can I fix this?

i have aqua rite as well, but solid check salt and inspect cell. Cell is clean added salt and ran it overnight. Both light still on. Any thoughs?
Salt reading 89. Had the water test and was told 7,000.
Your salt level it's 7000ppm? If so, that's the issue. Salt level should range between 2500 and 3500ppm
I pressed super chlorinate due to frequent low chlorine , all the lights turned on and suddenly buncha bugs appeared in the pool, now all lights stay on says Chlorinator off high amps
Thanks thought my cell was pooched
thank you very much. great video.
Thanks for the info.
Mine is doing this but it does not show the salt level, when I use the test strip it says it's at 5,000, please help
Great video. Thank you
Great video.
Timer too difficult to turn and now clock in middle doesn’t match outer timer; timer moves for a couple hours and then slows. This is two months old.
Thank you for the help!

Generator not producing chorline. Help
Make sure you have the salt cell in the correct direction
My Generating light is not on. Just the power green light is on. Why is this???
It's not generating salt something happened to me
My no flow is on and will not go off. Pool is running.
What's your salt level?

@@timkelly7647 your salt level may be too high? Try bringing it down to 3000ppm
Should it read no flow even if there's flow. I understand it won't chlorinate but it should read the flow.
