Man, that's good. I didn't know Bernie Maupin and Billy Cobham played with my favorite, Horace Silver! Too much, brother! I need to go lay down.
1968.
I often wonder how it must feel playing this intense music.i left my body also. 1x very real..
i want to do that, too!
Thank you, Gentlemen ⭐🌹⭐🌹😎☮️
Correction in the caption: "...he would join the Maharishi Orchestra..." , should be the "Mahavishnu Orchestra". This clip is priceless, though, thanks for posting!
oops! thanks!
Awesome music and footage here. Thanks
It was called the Mahavishnu orchestra
Thanks for post and gold nugget of jazz’s omnipresence ☮️🚧
glad you dig!
@@JazzVideoGuy Horace’s later vocal albums with Andy Bey should have been required listened to all elementary students. I had a talk with my lungs, said I will be good to them, etc… a friend of mine memorized all the lyrics to 21st Century Man. I think I got title correct. Inspiring lyrics and music.
Awersome band. Ironically, many years later Jeff Beck wanted Billy to join his band but was too intimidated to ask. I love Bernie's playing on Headhunters which has been among my favorites for decades. I have several huindred favorites, because trying to create a pecking order for those who have attained the heights of mastery is pointless
Well spoken🤘🏾🥂
❤
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Holy crap
ha!
So great to hear his story. Always loved Cobham's music. Also his 70s fusion albums are very good. Even the later commercial ones include amazing musicians (e.g. Eddy Daniels) and great arrangements.
Billy is one of the greats, no doubt about that
Past LIve, Dreams and Soul Travel by Harold Klemp. I learned to Soul Travel and leave my body consciously.
I have to get that book.
fantastic!!
so glad you dig!
Billy relates that rare experience of self-sacrifice to the music and the moment some of us are inexplicably granted!
It is a life changing thing to be the observer of one’s self and in my experience it only happens under the circumstances he describes.
well said
