Our First Time in Romania! Road Trip Through Transylvania to Transfagarasan

- We decide to self drive from Bucharest, Romania all the way to Timisoara. We lose our elf and see some incredible things along the way, including Transfagarasan (the greatest driving road in the world!). This route will take you from Bucharest through Sinaia, Brasov, and Sibiu in Transylvania.
Quite a detour. If you went directly from Bucharest to the Transfăgărășan road, you could have visited Curtea de Argeș, the first medieval capital of Wallachia, and seen the huge dam and lake at Vidraru, and on top of a mountain the ruins of Poienari Castle, the real fortress of Vlad the Impaler. At the summit of the road there is Bâlea lake and from there the road unwinds towards Transylvania.
Thank you! A route for the future!
I love your channel!
Thank you!
Guys omh my God, nice video. Thank you for making a video about my country. Loved it.
Thank you so much for watching!
Bravo ! Felicitari! (un vampir din Brasov Transilvania Romania ❤😂)
Awesome. Nice music selection too. :)
Thank you so much! Spent way too long on that!
I love this road ! Is Amazing 🤩 !!!
I have been to Romania maybe 7 times and never used a international drivers license. Im from Sweden 😊
Hejsa ❤️✊😊
Cause Sweden is in the EU and you can drive in any EU country with a EU license
@@Kapanol97 Indeed. No international license (which takes 8 minutes online to do, btw), you get your license confiscated and sent to your Embassy and from there to your tropical non EU cowboy country.
We're from Canada, so I think if you're outside the EU it is required. We always have it and have never used it before!
Because Sweden is in EU like Romania and you don’t need an international drivers license
Wrong choice of itinerary, (using Waze of Google Maps would have saved you the hassle) which instead of giving your troubles, it made it more fun and got you a marvelous once in a lifetime sunset. You'll have time to visit what you skipped. Editing was amazing and funny, loved it. Welcome to Romania, have a great time!
Thank you! We definitely took a long route, but we wanted to try and see Brasov, Sibiu, and Transfagarasan. If it wasn't for the lost elf we would have been able to stop more.
In Busteni ati filmat pe partea ce nu arata nimic, aici sunt cei mai inalti pereti din tara, Varful Caraiman si Crucea Eroilor.
We will have to visit those places next time we go!
💕💕💕
Why didn't you take the A1? It takes you 3 hours to Sibiu and you have a beautiful landscape to see
We did take the A1 for part of our drive, but we wanted to go through more villages.
Why didn't you call the car rental office to keep your doll until you return to hand over the car?
We weren't going back to Bucharest. Just one way from Bucharest to Timisoara.

lots of people hold Germany in high regard due to its highways. most were build by Hitler. Transfagarasan was built by the Ceausescu regime. on romanian blood. cherish it. it did not come for free.
