I have a bad experience with those bears. I was hiking with my sister and in one night the bear entered in our tent. I still have a scar on my left palm from a wood i tried to break in the middle of the night to have some fire. Although i experienced a bear in my tent, i was still hiking with my wife (this time) and sleeping in a tent for years. But not anymore since we have children. Now we go to our cabin in the mountains next to Curtea de Argeș, 50 km from Transfăgărășan.
Welcome! I hope u come back and see a whole lot more than the road that the Top Gear guys liked 🙂. As others mentioned you should take your time to visit the Danube Delta, go on Transalpina and other epic roads, go on a tour of monasteries in the region of Moldavia with many places to camp and amazing food to try, or go in winter in regions like Bucovina or Maramures to enjoy local Christian traditions that very few other places preserve.👍🍻
@@TheAdventuringArtists Have a good time! I hope u enjoy all of Eastern Europe because is kind like of a hidden gem and u kind of have to do a little bit of research to know where to go and what to explore, but after that initial 'so where do I go first' u kind of want to spend a whole year or more just wondering and trying new stuff as u go along.😉😘
@@yemsrachteshome110 Yes, there is, but the main religion is Orthodox and the second is Catholic. There are also muslims (Turks, Tatars etc.) and other religions to a mush lesser extent...
@@TheAdventuringArtists the only thing i heard about that forest is that paranormal and ufo sightings are said to be witnessed there😁 of course it might be urban legends
Our president just promoted a law that removes the bears from a protected species law and pays up people for killing them. In the communism period there was a similar law, but for killing crows. You get a certain amount of money for each bear killed. The law passed faster than COVID laws, it took under 24 hours for it to be official. They motivated that Romania has a problem with overpopulation of bears. Since that law passed (1-2 weeks ago), already foreigners organise bear killing squads/parties for trophy's. Of course, they are not killing the bears that get inside cities, for which the law was being motivated as having a sense. They do bear killing parties in the deep mountains. Cheers to Iohannis and to the corruption of Romania! 🥰(at least 20% of the Romanian Parliament have hunters permits).
Beautiful video

Trans-Alpina is way more beautiful than Trans-Fagarashan. :) Maybe you could give it a try. They are not that far from each other.
It’s definitely on our list for next time ❤️
