Thank you! This room was perfect for the Lionel Mickey & Minnie Mouse Handcars! I would highly recommend visiting the room if you are at Disney. Happy Railroading!
A little history trivia fans of this sort of thing will appreciate: Before 2006, this was called the Iron Horse Room. The case display of the Carolwood Pacific Lilly Belle train at 2:30 was installed in 2006 by a very nice fellow named Rodney Recor of the Carolwood Pacific Historical Society; a retired Hollywood producer who worked on the Walt Disney World Railroad for a while. His UA-cam page has a little video of the train around the Main Street USA Christmas Tree about that time that he also installed himself. Other Carolwood Pacific Historical Society members are responsible for many of the other display items in the room. Michael Broggie, founder of the Society and son of Roger E. Broggie, builder of the actual Lilly Belle locomotive in Walt Disney's backyard railroad, and namesake for one of the steam engines on the WDW Railroad, did the heavy lifting with Rodney's help to change the name of the room itself to the Carolwood Pacific Room.
This room is one of those hidden gems that Disney has so many of through their parks. If you ever get out to Disneyland, check out the real Lily Belle in the Main Street Station.
