I am wearing this case with a sniper dial, and a milanese bracelet. The last couple of months it has really settled in to running a couple of seconds fast per day. A nice, and comfortable everyday watch.
These may not be the best quality watches, but the case back design is genius. I don't know why others don't do it! The bracelets on the SE models are way better than the Classics. I own a No Date Green Neptune SE. The bracelet is great. I just got it.
Yeah the winding is a hassle to get used to lol, and also, I ended up wearing out the winding stem after a couple years, so advise that if you aren't wearing it, just let it die. Of course in that case you would want a no-date dial like this one as it has no quick set date function. As this great review said, the parts are cheap on meranom, I ordered a new crown/stem and installed it easily. Oh yeah, also they are easy to regulate, got mine to plus a couple seconds a day....however, this may require additional tweaking after some time and you may just 'give up' lol.
Yes, for a diver, generally it's better to have a unidirectional bezel that clicks. But, from my experience, I've never had a good friction based bidirectional bezel move on me unintentionally. They are generally held in well with the friction alone and it really takes a good grip on the bezel to begin to move the bezel at all, if not insignificantly at most. I like the look of full lume dials, I've owned actually owned several. BUT, maybe it's just with my examples, the lume lasts surprisingly very little considering the entire dial is covered with lume.. maybe just weak ass application. Cool watch actually and what you say about the design of the case back and its seal makes sense. Sounds like a sound design to get good water resistance.
I like it, already have a whitefaced amphibia though... 2 is a bit much? Fully lumed is interesting to me though. Nice review on a fun inexpensive workhorse.
It's super easy to polish small scratches out of Vostok watch acrylics. Just remove the bezel and use Brasso metal polish. Or if it's a serious scratch, pay $6 on eBay for a brand new acrylic !!
Highest fail I've come across is close to 800m. These are way over engineered and completely humbly undersold. Tougher than my Tags or Breitlings for the price of a few beers!
I own the same watch. But the crown is not as crisp as this one. The crown looks like from the ordinary Amphibian. The rubber band was broken on the first try. I have contacted to Meranom. They did not respond. Yeah, I was kind of negatively surprised. Couldn't wear the watch for a year because of it.
I’ve got two - one purchased from zenitar and the other from meranom. The zenitar one I believe was regulated, because it runs damn near perfect, while the meranom one runs a little fast.
Everyone should have at least one Vostok. So much history and very cool.

I think they should remove the lume from the hands, it'll make a better all-lume experience.
try orient mako xl
2:15 theyre too proud of themselfs. They dont want to admit that that design, soviet’s design, is better
What's the time keeping like on one of those?
Movement accuracy is rated at -20/+60 by Vostok. Mine is +20s/day
Ditto this. They seem to run fast that I have experienced. I am sure they can be adjusted some?
One dude got -1 sec a day. +5 sec is quite achievable after some adjustment. Normally a movement need a month or so if new to gain its accuracy.

@@Colddirector As far as I know, Meranom does not regulate, they only check if a watch runs within specs (-20/+60 secs) whithout opening the caseback.
