Imo, Kiss should have released a double studio LP with songs from side 4 of alive 2 and the best solo LP songs and call it Dynasty. That would have been following Zep and Floyd etc,
Taken me almost 40 years since first hearing it and 35-37 since last playing it to realize there were some decent tunes that I passed over when younger. Atleast one tune that I used to like sounds awfully cheesy now. On Unmasked, I like almost all of Ace's tunes and a mix of the others, but years ago I felt THAT was their weakest if ignoring Solo Albums and even Dynasty is still tough to decide on. Lovegun the tune is self explanatory and the album is pretty focus on the phallus and the load. Creatures , Lick it Up, and Revenge were the last really good KISS albums. to them it became more important about chasing money (and girls for Gene) than the actual music. I'm sure they had to evolve, but animalize, asylum, crazy nights and hot in the shade were all cash grabs trying to imitate what was going on at the time . anything after revenge is awful. carnival of souls is good musically, but again, its KISS trying to capitalize on the grunge movement. Carnival should've been Revenge Part 2, and Pyscho Circus should've been Love Gun Part 2 on Steroids.
The whole band was a cluster fuck... They all led to their own failures. At least Ace and Peter aren't conning fools. Kiss hasn't been worth a shit after lick it up.
Growing up I was a huge Kiss Fan, what killed Kiss for me was buying Paul Stanley's solo album and Unmasked. Had I instead purchased Aces solo album and Dynasty, I probably would have remained a rabid fan. Animalize, was great, everything after that wad shit. I do enjoy Sonic Boom but it's canned.
The irony to listening to Stanley recognize how they (paraphrased) undermined, or lost, the fans who put them on the map, because he’s doing that to THIS….VERY….DAY (whether musically or with his BS left-wing, activism).
Not a big Kiss fan, never was 🙄, But just listened to the Elders lp to see how bad it really was and 🤮 what the F is this ? I wouldn't even call it rock , More like background music for a Disney cartoon 🐭 " No wonder Ace Left "
He was delusional. Ace thought he could be a big deal as a solo artist. Below average guitarist who can't sing, not much of a songwriter, and lacks initiative.
Kiss creatures of the night tour averaged 4,400 people in the United States not that great for kiss but there's bands out here today that would kill for that audience.
Elder may be fan favourite to some but at the time it was a stupid record that nobody understood or cared about nothing they did after matched there 70s records always hear how gene n paul kept it going but it was a pile of steamy dogpoo after a few ok albums😮
So Bob E was brought in on Destroyer. He came up with Detroit Rock City and a half credit on Beth while Dick Wagner (Alice Cooper, The Frost) came up with almost the entire rythem and lead work but only taking a credit on Flaming Youth. All because Ace was not dependable. Then fast forward, Gene and Paul somehow feel guilt for bringing in outside musicians some 6 years later? Ok
no, Ace didn't like Bob, neither did Peter, cuz he was a perfectionist and wanted things his way, whereas Ace and Peter were "feel" players. it's well known that Bob would badger them into the ground trying to get what he wanted. they wouldn't show up cuz they didn't feel like dealing with him.
@@independenceltd. Which also makes sense however. Ace was heavy in the sauce in 75 and was pulled out of many alleyways. Destroyer was a commercial success thanks to Bob. Myself I could care less, my bias is only because Dick Wagner was the Man.
the thing is: Ace costed himself more millions by being a screw up. I love Ace but a true big time, professional band needs reliable members. Ace just wasn't that guy, or he would be worth 250 million like Stanley and Simmons.
And yet kiss is still more bigger around the world and more popular than any of those bands you mentioned everybody no matter your skin color knows who kiss is
For the old farts at the time that for some reason people would listen to. Everything unconventional or rebellious was of rude or monsterous character. Thank god Kiss and other artists paid the way for everyone to be their own judge and stop listening to the false authority of old decaying folks that seemed to think their opinion mattered. Carnival should've been Revenge Part 2, and Pyscho Circus should've been Love Gun Part 2 on Steroids.
Hopefully Ace realizes deep down, that he's at least 90% responsible for his situation with KISS.
90? That's being kind... I loved Ace and he and Paul were why I got into playing guitar. But he's his own worst enemy...
KISS COULDN'T win a trick!
Ace you lost millions all by yourself
The irony to listening to Stanley recognize how they (paraphrased) undermined, or lost, the fans who put them on the map, because he’s doing that to THIS….VERY….DAY (whether musically or with his BS left-wing, activism).
Bryan Adams saved Kiss
Money running out signals maybe you should get back to doing what got you there in the first place. Smh.😅
Maybe don’t do mounds of coke for starters.
Creatures of the Night is their heaviest album besides Carnival of souls.
Not a big Kiss fan, never was 🙄, But just listened to the Elders lp to see how bad it really was and 🤮 what the F is this ? I wouldn't even call it rock , More like background music for a Disney cartoon 🐭 " No wonder Ace Left "
ace had the most talent but the worst work ethic
Ace was my childhood hero but he ruined his career all by himself.
What rock have you been under? Please look on UA-cam,Ace Frehley,He has done more than KISS ,piss,i the last 5 years!??????????
He was delusional. Ace thought he could be a big deal as a solo artist. Below average guitarist who can't sing, not much of a songwriter, and lacks initiative.
Ace lost millions of dollars. In grams and pints,in steadily rising increments.
Blablabla
wow so drama
Kiss creatures of the night tour averaged 4,400 people in the United States not that great for kiss but there's bands out here today that would kill for that audience.
Its his own fault. Shouldnt have voted out Peter.
Was happy with Creatures of the night the Elder, Unmasked, and Dynasty were shut show albums. I true black eye on the history of kiss
UA-cam Ace Frehley last 5 years?!
@@independenceltd. Which also makes sense however. Ace was heavy in the sauce in 75 and was pulled out of many alleyways.
Destroyer was a commercial success thanks to Bob.
Myself I could care less, my bias is only because Dick Wagner was the Man.
Kiss where never hard a rock n roll band, always a shite band in my opinion !!!
😂😂
Ace was too mixed up. Messed up. He didn't do anything for another 5 years
So Ace is just worried about money , not much different to Gene and Paul.
the thing is: Ace costed himself more millions by being a screw up. I love Ace but a true big time, professional band needs reliable members. Ace just wasn't that guy, or he would be worth 250 million like Stanley and Simmons.
$immons is closer to $500.000.000 and Stanley is around $250.000.000 while Ace is around $1.000.000
Yeah, but yall check out the last 5 years of Ace Frehley Music videos on You Tube,Hesfocussed now and kicking their asses!
Didn't listen to ace
Meanest and Loudest 🙄😂😂😂
Kiss music compared to Metallica, Sabbath, Pantera, Slayer ..... is like Sunday school kids singing
Yet they ruled the mid and late 70s
3 of those didn't even exist when KISS ruled
Oh and dimebag was a huge Ace Frehley fan
And yet kiss is still more bigger around the world and more popular than any of those bands you mentioned everybody no matter your skin color knows who kiss is
@@ezsmith3765 you must sing in the church choir huh.... Is the priest your best friend too??
Ace has never been a good guitarist. Unreliable. Can’t sing. Why would they need him?
Shedding Ace was necessary for their growth. Better guitarists replaced him, more reliable professionals.
They needed him and begged him to stay because most KISS fans loved him and he was the dominant element of the original (true) KISS sound.
The Elder was for the elderly 😂
Go play in traffic
For the old farts at the time that for some reason people would listen to. Everything unconventional or rebellious was of rude or monsterous character. Thank god Kiss and other artists paid the way for everyone to be their own judge and stop listening to the false authority of old decaying folks that seemed to think their opinion mattered. Tradition my ass if we all listening to the elderly our finished music would not be in shelves or Spotify but being played only at retirement homes or damn elevators at corny cocktail parties for retiree or Disney parks.
Kiss suck.
Stanley and Simmons should've been kicked out of Kiss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry but the record should be called Vinnie Vincent . Same with Lick It Up.
Kiss sucks. Basic bull crap music.
stop with the cc, otherwise good video
Cool video. Very interesting. I’ll take the first albums Beatles like rock and roll over Creatures more heavy metal vibe. To me that’s the influence of Eric.
