I follow several fashion bloggers and I just need to tell you that you really do an incredible job! I learn so much from your blog and videos. You do so much more than just sell clothes, you educate us. Thank you!
Thank you, Beverly. That means so much to me. All bloggers have different styles of doing what we do, and I appreciate so many of them. But I feel very authentic doing this the way I do it. My sales probably are not as high, but I feel so rewarded when I'm able to offer real help. Thanks for sharing. 😍
You're so right about feeling comfortable in our clothes. As I age I find that if my clothes are too tight or rough and my feet are not comfortable it actually makes me feel anxious to the point where I can't wait to get back home and change. As a result I don't feel that I have contributed much to anyone else's day.
Kay, I feel like we’re girlfriends! Your voice and attitude are so pleasing. Sometimes I get lonely during COvid days at home, and I really enjoy listening to you. Today’s topic was so good, too. We can adapt your principles to fit our own needs, climate and lifestyle. Thanks for being your authentic self with us!
You are such and inspiration. I have always been a thin person. I had my style down pat. Then menopause, ugh, now I’m thick in the middle. In my mind I’m still the previous person and found myself buying the same type clothing which never looked right. They hung in my closet never worn and honestly, depressed me because they hung there. You have made me see that I need to change gears. Thank you kindly.
I love this summary of so many things! I am also drawn to classic fashion and so many of your outfits have been extra helpful to me. I also consider you a sister in Christ and enjoy your spiritual tidbits and Bible verse each day. Thanks so much! And you look extra lovely in that pink!
Thank you so much, Vera. I'm really glad you're enjoying the content. You ladies are such a motivating factor for me. I am so pleased that the information I'm sharing is making an impact. I know it impacts me! 💗
Thanks so much, Ginger. I really didn't realize how much I like this blouse until I started editing the video yesterday. Ha! I'll have to wear it more frequently. 💗
I agree that what we wear and how we wear it speaks volumes. I’m 56 years old and my style has not changed in 25 years. I know that a generational gap exists between myself and my 20 year old niece. I believe style and class in dressing yourself crosses all age boundaries even with individual differences. You are a prime example and always look lovely whether in jeans and a t-shirt or a gown and a fur wrap. Thank you for today’s video. Very informative. Melissa 🌼
I'm so guilty of clothes accumulation because I wore a police uniform for over 30 years. Now after retiring and donating piles, your videos help calm me in this effort not to over buy. Bravo.
That color pink looks wonderful on you. I love pink. I guess it’s one of my colors. My complexion and hair have changed over the last few years. And colors I used to wear no longer look good on me. I’m not sure of my shape right now. I would say round. I have gained so much weight because of the medication I’m on. But I think I know what I should be wearing, and wha I can pull off. I picked a shirt yesterday and ended up changing. I will not be uncomfortable in anything I wear anymore. I’m old to put up with that. I rarely go anywhere so there is no one to see me. My husband and dogs. My husband may care but I don’t think my dogs do. I’m hoping things start changing and I will get out more. Then I will take time with what I wear. But if I’m just staying home, I pretty much go for comfort. This was a great video and I will refer back to it time and again. And I’m going to try to find a shirt or blouse that color. I may already have something like that in storage. When I get my clothes from there I will know. I’m thinking I do. And I will be wearing it. My hair is salt and pepper. But I still think it will look good with my hair and skin tone.
Another wonderful video with well thought out questions for us to ask ourselves in our journey to become the best we can be. Your constant smile uplifts me; your calming voice soothes and relaxes me so I can sit and listen properly; your information educates me; your pictures and videos of what you wear inspire me - - thank you for all of that; I am grateful I found you online.
I LOVE what you're wearing! I love the colors and they look they look great on you. I can't remember you wearing such a bright pink before but I really like it.
As I get older I have had to adjust to my changing body shape post menopause! I used to be stick thin and 5' 10" I'm now a "vase" shape, and only now I'm realising what suits me and what doesn't. Thanks for an informative and fun video!
Once upon a time I had great legs, then I turned 55 and my feet and calves started swelling giving me cankles, I have gained weight that is harder to lose now! Suddenly cropped pants just didn’t work for me and I have rounder middle. I need to relearn how to dress this “new” body I have now. Will check out you blog, thanks!🙂
Your Abigail, is a precious soul, u raised a lady. I enjoyed listening to both of u at a previous video. Thank u. Clear points and very helpful, I appreciate all these questions, and it also makes u stop and think. Great tips and thanks again. 🙏❤️🌟👍👏✝️
Kay, I recently discovered your blog and YT channel and am enjoying your topics so much. It's refreshing to find someone who shops at some of the same stores! Your hairstyle is so becoming on you and enhances your loveliness, both inside and out. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us.
Hello Kay,Im from Italy and have been truly enjoying your videos.I wish i could meet you. You're a lovely lady with so much kindness and a sweet personality.God bless
All very informative Kay.....I’ve never looked at all the choices we have where they have a meaning. I dress for what makes me feel good and of course what looks good with my body type, I know my husband would say.....that doesn’t look good on you😜. He’s very honest. Great video.
Wow, Kay! This was so helpful! I have only been with you since mid-winter. I have changed up my wardrobe a bit, and have had lots of compliments. I still have to keep it casual (recommended by my school) so that I can wash my clothes regularly (due to the pandemic). I am swamped with my work as a senior high music teacher, but I can see that I need to research your blog for some more answers. I especially liked the points in this episode about choosing for my frame (5'2", and I'm 58) I always wondered why large handbags were so awkward. Currently I am STRUGGLING with my hair. I can not find a stylist who will give me a style, not just a cut! I am a Believer, and I watch you on my TV, so I don't always have the thumbs-up option, but I am a regular, and I'm grateful for your help! Blessings!!!!
Ahh, thanks so much Julianne. This is very encouraging. When I move to a new town I always watch for women in Target or wherever who have a haircut like I want. Then I approach them and ask who does their hair. That's how I've found the best hairdressers. Good luck! Thanks for watching.
Thank you as I learned so much from your links! I would be that woman who said I have nothing draw attention to as I just want to hide or cover my flaws up! Thanks again as I start this journey to a better wardrobe!
Very informative, giving me reason to reassess my body, I especially liked your response to question #6. Being very short waisted, I can quit trying the front tuck because it is in fashion, just not for me.
I follow two other fashion bloggers and you are so informative and give so many more tips. I feel you really care how we look and look at ourselves. That we really want to look OUR best. Thank you for all the tips. It is very helpful. Now I need to listen to your video again and glen all the tips for myself. Have a great day Kay and I am so excited about you signing your paperwork for your house today. Rah!
Once again, very helpful. Even if we know and mostly consider these questions, your reminders and the detail you provide is certainly needed! My personal style is so similar to yours that I know your daily blog features and weekly videos are going to give me information I can put to use. More than just looking at pretty new clothes, I'm learning valuable style tips from you! Thanks for all the work you put into the information you bring us!
What a helpful video! One other question I often ask myself, at least for many of my purchases, is "Is it fun?" The clothes I most enjoy are those for which the answer is an emphatic Yes!
I’ve been going through and trying on the items I haven’t worn much, to figure out why. Interestingly, in almost every case there is a comfort problem. Some are fixable, like removing an itchy label, some aren’t, like an overall itchy fabric. One result was that I added acrylic to my “Don’t Buy” list on my phone.
Hi Kay!! Another video........another day of GREAT advice!! Thank you so much Kay. As always very informative!! Have a great day and I will see you in the next one!

Great video, Kay! You are just glowing today - clothing, makeup and hair look wonderful. I have that sleeveless blouse. It looks very good with a white blazer. When you see this, y’all will have signed on the dotted line for your house. Exciting times ahead! Thank you for all you do. Best blog out there for the over 50 woman.
I thought this was great! I plan to check out some of this blog posts you mentioned, as I think I might need to make some adjustments in how I make some personal style choices. 😊 Also, your hair looks great and very flattering on you!
This is such a good video for the basics. If I were doing a whole course on style, I would use this video in my class. All these things we seem to know instinctly but there are some things we don't. For instance, I have measured my body and my proportions are about the same, My hips and bust are within an inch or two of each other and my waist is the smallest but it seems like I am a rectangle. Is there such a thing? Style is fun and a great way to express ourselves. I am drawn to color and prints. I love textures and colors. Knowing all these things will help me style myself better.
Hi Denisa. Yes, a rectangle body shape or an H is a thing. 👍 And you can learn more about how to dress your body shape at my blog. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Hey ! Me again not sure if you are up for it but would you be able to make a video on choosing a great purse without spending a thousand or more dollars for it ? I am willing to pay for a good one I just can't see paying a thousand dollars for one. Thanks so much.
Thank you Kay, could you do a video about what colours suits people with grey hair. Blonde haired ladies seem to suit any colour but I’m grey and always look washed out in black, white or grey next to my face . I love white and grey clothing so not sure what to choose? Thank you for sharing your thoughts and advice.
A good question. My grey, short, and curly hair is actually a variety of shades, from dark to very light. I do use black, grey, and white as my neutrals (browns, yellows, camels, greens: 😬), plus I wear navy blue in certain garments. But I usually jazz things up, such as a white shirt with a scarf or “bolder” necklace, which draws light up to my face. I love a pop of colour in a shirt, T-shirt, or sweater. (Deep pink, cranberry red, and - wait for it - purple!). Bottom line: as Kay reminds us: what colours make YOU feel good?
@@vicwil2423 I've been thinking about that more and more since I'm getting more gray in my hair. As an auburn haired woman, I'm used to wearing lots of browns and cinnamon tones. I don't think that's going to work so well in the near future. It's going to be a big adjustment. My husband has almost the same hair color, and he's about 3/4 gray now, so I see the difference it makes, up close and personal. He can still wear warm tones, but he could stand to go lighter in his t-shirt colors. The vivid colors that he used to look great in are a bit overwhelming now. My future.
I think there is something to be said for the Color Me Beautiful color philosophy. Are you warm or cool? Look at the veins at your inner wrist? If they are blue, you are cool. If they are green, you are warm, likely an Autumn. You can find your colors on-line.
