But in order to win, you need this massive machine that has targeted strategies for every state. Look at Trump. Day after day after day he is flying his entire team to rallies. They have to rent the arena. Security. Food. All of the costs of hosting 50k-100k people in a venue. And they don’t charge for tickets to make a profit. Tickets are cheap, or even free. Think about how much that costs to do month after month. It does suck. But it’s just the way it is. You need to have your face everywhere, and need to convince enough people that you are the better choice. You become a product that consumers must choose. And just like any product, you have advertising budget.
