Tysm, Even though I've been using Notion for years, your idea of vertically grouping the books by their status has added a better flow to my database. I had stopped checking that database because of how overwhelming it was.
The thing that separates you from other Notion UA-camrs is that you also show us how to build these Templates. Most of the youtubers don't teach us how they build it.
really appreciate the comment. I've been wondering on whether people find it useful tbh. But I think this new format of Part 1 How to Build and Part 2 Template Tour is a win win for everyone :)
@@ProductiveSetups it's super useful! I only look for videos and templates which explain step by step how to make them. It's the easiest and least frustrating way to learn how this app works and to personalize it. This way my Notion setup is going to actually suit and serve me as I wish to, not as someone else designed it :P
Hey, I love your videos and your templates. I assume you have a resource database (which is more than books but also internet articles, YT videos, channels, podcasts etc) implemented into your headquarters template... But would you consider making video about organising all kind of (mostly online) resources?
Hey quick question. I just purchased your second brain which is amazing btw, I was wondering if you knew a way to connect the readwise synced database into the resources database that is already in the second brain, really trying to fit them together for seamless integration. Thanks
I really don't understand where are we going with all these productivity and micro management, just simply import your annotated part of a book as pdf and orchestrate it into a folder simple
Totally works as well :) And yes that would be simpler to set up. However, when you have a fully built system where everything connects together, you can work a lot faster and find stuff a lot faster
If you buy and read non fiction books and use them as reference, you will need a library to refer to when you go to a book shop. Sometimes you are looking for ideas to solve a specific problem. Without this, you wouldn’t know. Notion integrates book covers with your notes from these books really well. If you are reading fiction or one time use self help books, then you may have a completely different thought process
@@muralibalaraman sir i see where u coming from But my point was mainly around the idea of paradox of choices In thw world where we r inundated by god knows millions of productivity systems and templates why not keep it basic and simple Just annotating the crux and exporting it as pdf and further arranging those into folders would suffice(we can sure argue about whether annotation is efficacious for learning or not but that's a different discourse)
@@ProductiveSetups Quick question: I am trying to add more than one topic (genre) to a book as you show in 15:07, but once I select one, the previous one is replaced by it. I'm using a Macbook, how do you do this? Thank you!
Btw, get 20% off Shortform at signup if you use the link in my description
Ten videos later, you are officially my Notion-sensei. Merci chef !
hahaha thank you!
You deserve more viewers.
haha thank you
