Just a tip for the weekly to-do list: you can create a button that will automatically generate a new week so that all you have to do is select the entire week and delete it on Sunday then push the button to populate a new week!
This is so cool and helpful! I do have one question. I'm still learning out the tools in notion and I never knew you could make words in the table item color coded! Example: 7:20 theres the Act 3: Finale highlighted along with "Action Plan" and "Status Quo" color coded. How did you do it??
Wow, just wow. I salute you and thank you for doing this. I will definitely purchase this template! Quick question. How do you manage multiple book outlines with this template? Do you also do all of the writing in this template or do you switch to another application for the actual book writing? Thank you in advance. This video and the template are incredibly well done!!!
Thanks! I’m so glad you like the template! To answer your question, it’s designed for just one book, so I recommend duplicating the original template for each project. I’ve had some readers inquire about writing a series (each book would use the same characters and worldbuilding databases), so if there is enough interest I may create a variant version of this template. Unfortunately for now, this template works best for single standalone books, but you can duplicate it as many times as you need. Also, I recommend storing just notes on Notion and actually writing on a separate software such as Scrivener. Google Docs is also a good option.
Yay! Mel Posted! I don't think I've ever commented on one of your videos before, but I just wanna say I found your channel about a year and a half ago and you've been such a big inspiration to me. Keep up the great work :)
Hey, I stumbled upon your Video and love it! But I can’t afford to buy the template… do you have a tutorial on how to create something similar to sour template?
Wow, very cool template :D I use notion for characters and chapters in similar manner, but I have to say I'm very impressed with Worldbuilding part. Chef's kiss. Glad UA-cam recommended me this :D
Hi. How did you make the chart that says Story Beats? I've never been able to do it like that. And where did you get that template of famous quotes? I'd really appreciate it if you could answer. Nice video.
I'm guessing your referring to the story beats database on the right side of the outline page-that's just a normal table with grouped toggles. Here's a video on how to do it: ua-cam.com/video/iKtXplmNqg4/v-deo.html. And for the quotes, I used widgetbox.app.
Hi there Mel, what type of database is that with the toggle arrows? For example, in the Outline database, where you have all the chapters and scenes, how do you make that layout? Is it grouped by status?
I haven't seen you in a while!. Wow, the template looks so cool. I wish Notion Mobile didn't suck. Completely ruined it for me. Will definitely be getting the template when I get a new laptop. I love this so much.
For me it works with the full song sometimes...! I still haven't figured out why, but if it's only showing previews it's really easy to click and open the playlist on Spotify, which is still nice.
when the world needed her the most, she came back.
I can't tell if this is an alternative Avatar reference or not, but thank you!
@@MelTorrefranca I'm pretty sure it is 😎
This is such a fully-functional, detailed, aesthetically pleasing, brilliant novel planner/organizer template!
Not working at the moment, but would love a tutorial on this. It looks so beautiful and so me!

I’m literally using notion to outline my book now 😂 I’ll definitely take some ideas 💡
Ooooh, everything's so detailed ♡ I'll snag it when I re-outline my WIP for sure!
Thanks, hope it helps you!
This is beautiful!!! Have you thought about doing a tutorial?? Happy writing 💕
Can you make a in depth tutorial for someone new to notion

Would you mind sharing the formula for the wpm?

Really good. You say Scrivner is your favourite. Do you use that both
Yep, I use Notion for plotting and Scrivener for writing :))
How did you get the table to calculate how many hours you wrote when you put in your start and end time? I can't seem to find it anywhere..
I like that template:D
How did you make the images for ur characters tho?
She might have hired an artist to create them for her or used AI!
the glossiness of the pics make me believe they're AI
Thanks! These images are AI generated but my actual personal template for belladonna has original art by @aira.rumi :))
Wow! Already love!

Aw thank you! I have tons of fun with the worldbuilding page :))

Oh, I think I got it, it's the table layout with subitems activated! Cool!
@@andrebuitoni9686 Exactly, you got it!
Can you tell me step by step how to do it, I can't do it yet. 😢
@@diannyguerreromateo8758 create table view - select the three dots - customize database - sub-items
How did you make the changing quotes pics on the dashboard? So happy to see you’re back on yt 😚

Thank you so much! I hardly ever use Notion mobile either-desktop is definitely better.

Do you use flip phone ?
Hiii!!! Do you have a P.O. Box!!
I don't sorry! But I love receiving emails

Why would you need to count the words tho
Counting the words can be a way to track your progress. Some set a goal for how many words they want to write for the week to stay productive.
tracking progress, motivation, have a certain limit for the day, have a certain minimum for the day.. or just for funzies
Like others have said, it's great for staying on track, and I also find it fun :)
For me I think that will be much better if we count the pages instead of words
