G’day Tim & Co ;-) thanks so much for sharing your excellent knowledge with us all, good common sense advice too. One of my best girth’s is an original neoprene anti gall girth, can do many ks with no issues, then easily wash it off with soapy water, ss fittings no rust. I’ve watched videos on western saddle manufacturing and fit, but not sure on rigging 7/8 ths 3/4 or rodeo rigging seems to be more centred like an English saddle. Would like you to explain this in a video if possible. Thanks for your awesome interesting content, With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom and may peace be with you all! Yes saddle rigging would be a good video topic. All mine are 7/8 double rigged which is most common for working saddles. Neoprene girths are great for their ease of keeping clean. Thank you for watching. Tim.
I have always thought of the synthetic girths, neoprene etc. to be for short term riding such at an hour riding in an arena. To me the mohair/wool girths are best for longer days of saddle work and though they are harder to keep clean I like how they will adapt to the horse. A real good leather girth may be great but would require a great deal of cleaning and conditioning and the cost would be prohibitive to me.
I just put it on and do ground work like nothing is different. Be sure to have your connector strap adjusted properly and tighten the back girth properly.
Love how you explain!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. 💓

That's why they make all different types.
Hi Tim, if my horse hasn’t ever had a back girth, is there a good way to introduce it? Thanks in advance

@@timandersonhorsetraining thank you!
Can a Mohaire cinch pinch a horse?my friend said not to use them 😮I have one for my pony
Certain girths are better for certain horses. Any girth can pinch and any girth can be the right girth for a particular horse.
