I spent like 16 hours after just a day of owning the game lmao back then I didn't realize the "unlock all" button is completely free because of my misconception about how "unlock all" works due to having played too many f2p games, thus spending as much time as possible to unlock/reveal jokers and other stuff

Ordering by rank and suit can also be very helpful when dealing with face down cards. Let's say a face down card is between a 9(diamond) and a 7(spade). You know its either a 9, 8, or 7 from that position, and if you select that card, it will stay up so you can easily identify it when you shuffle to order by suit. Now that same card is between a 9 & 5 of diamonds, narrowing it down to being either an 8 or 7 of diamonds. It's not always accurate, but knowledge of your deck and card organization can help sometimes when its vital. Also, if you're on a run centering around certain high or low cards (like stacking aces for 5 of a kind, or using 4's for the walkie talkie joker) then if you're on the "first hand drawn face down" boss, ordering by rank and discarding 5 from the opposite side of the cards you want is the safest bet.

Hi, I know this is a strange question to ask, but it would help the blind community if you did this. Whether someone wrote it here, or GothicLordUK did a vid on it: could you possibly do a video or description about the sounds of Balatro, if you know what they are? We have an accessible mod, but the mod does not speak during the activation sequence, but it does still make the bweeps and bloops of the various things happening. Lots of people are wondering what the various sounds mean. The other thing is, and this works same way, could someone either write here, or GothicLordUK, do a video more about Joker Placement? Whilst he has described it here I don't know how many jokers he's got on screen. Other general things, like the general layout of a shop, might help as well. If anyone is curious about the mod, it's called, Black Hole, and it's primarily for windows, and it will either use sapi by default, or can also use screen readers like NVDA. It adds a keyboard configuration too, I don't know if you'd be interested in doing a video about it with some tips too, but I also don't know about doing that for every single video because I am guessing the primary audience here is sighted, but it could be an interesting topic to touch upon. If not the actual mod, then perhaps some tips that could help the blind, like some more joker examples and placement, like the sounds of the game.
Hey there, thanks for the questions. I may be able to knock up a list of sound effects in game, though I fear that I might miss something. Perhaps I could do an episode with the music audio low and the sound audio high, on a slightly slower game speed, describing what each sound represents as it's happening. As for mod showcasing, I have 13 gold joker stickers left for Completionist++ then I'm going to look into mods, so I could look into it then. If you or someone from your community are at the Balatro discord, you can DM me and we can continue this there. Cheers.

@@gotzvonberlichingen6494 you win after Ante 8 boss blind, if you don't skip, then it's round 24
@ thanks !
this is gonna be helpful since it's out on mobile
oh god im addicted
Would four of a kind "contain" two pair?
No, two pairs requires two of two different ranks specifically
I still don't know what the ante on the bottom left is for. (4/8 ante etc)
Ante is like the "floor of the dungeon" it's just a track of your progress through 8 sets of "small blind/big blind/boss blind"
Ok, so what happens when I get to the max?@@GothicLordUK
@@Quarrel478/8 ante is the final ante to complete a run, don’t want to finish? You get to play endless mode once you finish ante 8 boss blind (Finisher Blind) having an endless amounts of antes,

Cheers.
What if I decide to "unlock all" then change my mind? Can you reset and or relock everything?
You can delete that save file and start from scratch
I didn’t know you could discard more than one card at a time, no wonder I couldn’t get past 7 ante 😂
20 hours and the max ante that I reach is 7/8 with absolutely no possibility to reach the 8/8. All regular here or am i missing something?
You still getting only 7/8?
@@Epic_Ducks1 oh yes, but in green stake difficult 😂
@@LucaDellAglio Oh damn, well, Good luck then.
How do you restart on IPhone?
How to beat the boss that gives all cards face down??
@@Corey-l5u there is no boss that gives all cards face down. There is a boss that causes face cards to be face down and a joker that treats all cards as face cards.
In this cases you can either sell pareidolia or order your cards by suit/rank to try and make something work.
any tips on how to stop playing this game? I cant stop playing since i bought it
Play about 3000 hours then your brain MAY go, OK, we can open up some time for other games.
@@GothicLordUK thanks for the tip I will try
I’m 10 hours in with no wins so I definitely consider myself a beginner still
Mentally challenged
The tip about Xmult also applies to the cards you play if you have Glass or Polychrome cards.
Set them as the rightmost cards when you play them to get more points.
gave me some ohhhhhhhhhhhh moments
thanks!
Damn some of these are like common sense and I totally missed them!
I have like 3 hours on the game. Probably played 15 runs, never have made it past ante 2 and I am not sure where I am going wrong.
hell yea. balatro rules
i accidently skip the tutorial and didnt know joker position is important
gahhhh! Order the jokers as if it were a math formula! Of course!!!
I play on 4x from the beginning, other speeds are too slow
nice guide
I dont get what the planet cards do. I get nothing for using em
Planet cards level up your hands. This increases the base value of the chips and mult awarded for playing them before any bonuses are applied.
How to refresh round on Nintendo switch?
Pause to main menu and start new run. No hotkey on switch.
You can REARRANGE the jokers??? 😮
It's no wonder I haven't been able to beat ante 8 🤦🤦
@@MaverickViper enjoy your new wisdom!
The game is amazing. I have mot been able to beat it yet i need to do better and use planets torot and clestlial
i dont understand the joker order!!! 😢
Base 5mult , X2 =10, +10mult = 20mult
Base 5mult, +10mult = 15, X2 = 30mult
Xmult on the right to get more value from them
@@GothicLordUK oh!!! ok ok...
+ mult = just adds to the red
X mult = multiplies everything
@@the_real_octavioNot Everything, Xmult also multiplies the red
thanks!
Thanks.

Did you have Showman?
@GothicLordUK I don't think so

How to win I'm tired of losing 😢
@@rezarestian1128 try my Balatro Over explained video for a more extensive idea of how to win
Keep playing, keep unlocking jokers. Understand synergies between jokers. Accept that you are going to lose even sometimes with a great build, some of the boss blinds can really screw you...
Omfg I’m gonna kms. I JUST found out you can move jokers. I’m so stupid man.
Theres no R key on smartphones
Sorry, video came out long before the mobile version. You have to restart from the menu the old fashioned way.
Tip number 1: Turn music all the way up.

Ew
Love this game but HATE "All cards are drawn face down" bosses, which completely destroys the game and takes away all your skill.
There is still skill to deciding what to discard when face down, manipulating the rank/suit order to figure out what cards you are holding, and planning a plan B when you see such bosses coming. It doesnt became all about luck every time.
