Another very professional and well prepared tutorial with a lot of useful instructions 👍. Coach you are amazing 👏👏. Many thanks from the penhold-community.
Easily the best video analysis of the penhold forehand loop! Thanks, @TI LONG for your hard work and meticulous preparation in creating this superb video. It will be awesome if you could please make videos for RPB and the penhold serve! Thanks!
At the start. In the comparison you can see the speed is about the same but the acceleration at the contact point is huge difference. Ti Long is great player no doubt but world rankers are monster. Thanks for good video with subtitle :)
Thanks coach, this is what i've been waiting for in your channel.. Some Explanation about xu Xin technique...its help me alot to understand.,,coz i'm a lefthand penholder player too..👍👍👍
another critique point i have 2:28 watch the racket wobbling around and especially the bat angle compared to the angle the arm moves. and if some penhold beginners read this: most have a space between where the rubber beginns and the handle to place your index finger. that helped me a lot at the beginning. about 1,5cm for me personally
Now u did what I always wanted to see 😁😁🤪 I am penholder but I follow malong technique because it's perfect but then as penholder u need to some insight to distinguish because the grip does make it different and difficult xd
Any kind of blade that's an OFF+ blade, and I would use a tacky Chinese rubber on forehand like Skyline 2TG or Hurricane 3 NEO. Backhand you can use Tenergy.
Hello Penhold community! I have a question since I have a problem with my topspin. If I start the movement behind my back I always end up with some amount of side spin but if I make the movement shorter(dont start behind my back) I cant seem to generate enough power to spin the ball over the net. I would really apricate it if I can get some assistance!
I would suggest reviewing your footage as you practice and notice the form. You're probably swiping the ball too much when you start from behind your back. Some amount of sidespin is fine, as it gives opponents trouble, but too much can affect how fast you are able to hit the ball because it's not diving into the table as fast and you'll likely miss long more often. You need to review how your body is engaging in the stroke as well. Take a look at your follow through and see where you are actually starting the stroke. I'll bet that you're not starting down far enough, and are just smacking the ball rather than making solid contact both up and through the ball. Hope this helps.
@@johannesgutenberg5993 Thanks for the feedback Nick. I will make sure to record my self and try to have the blade more horizontal in order to produce top-spin with minimal side.
@@longle0402 I ask because I have pain in my index finger, it hurts me, somehow I place it on the edge. It strikes me directly to the bone, I want to try penhold long pipa twiddling, I want to spin from both sides, and hit with pips
@@djhumantorch oh, me too I have pain in my middle finger so I have to change the grip, in your case you should try with the Curl finger grip that I show in the video
@@longle0402 how slow can it be haha Because ppl nowadays assume that getting best stuff and follow pros right fromm start is good but pros also start from good beginner stuff to master fundamentals
@@jackhsieh3955 yes it is right, it depens on how good you are and your playing style. for example, that blade is good for close to table style and blocking, but if you are a 2 wings attacker like me then it's not good enough, especially with the 40+ ball it's heavy to hit. I would prefer Ma Lin YEO to Sweden Extra as I did 7 year ago
nice video BUT xu xin does not hit the ball at its highest point. he is known for letting it drop a lot and he is always relativly late at the ball. that was exactly the reason why i clicked on this video and why i am a liithe disappointed that you got it wrong. just look at this yourself: 2:40
There are still many Penhold players around the world so your video helps a lot!
Why do you say 'still'...is penhold becoming less and less popular for some reason?
you mean you really dont know??@@YAOG
@@empireentertainmentevents1353 I play VR table tennis. I haven't paid much attention to the table tennis world.

Thank you for pen-hold tutorial. More pen-hold if you can! Next, can you do pen-hold serves and pen-hold backhand?

Very good video and your stroke is very nice and similar 👍👍 to Xu Xin. Well done fantastic!!! 👍👍👋👋🤩🤩😉😉
You're so good coach...even for penhold you know how it works👍👍👍
Super close to identically Xu Xin’s form
Only two issues I see are:
1. Xu Xin’s arm is straighter
2. His shoulder’s rotate more as well
Thank You for your kindness, I was waiting for a long time.. 😊
crystal clear demonstration !
Thanks for your videos. I've been practicing your advice and I think I'm improving
