I'm happy that this channel got commercial promotion. I believe that the manufacturer reads comments. Please, make dock station with certified FreeSync compatibility, detachable power supply cable, and USB-C ports at least with 3.1 standard support for charging and transfer video to an external monitor by one cable. If it includes Asus AuraSync RGB on the top I will pay 100$ for such dock.
Thanks for your suggestions. iVANKY has been a very kind and professional company to communicate with on my end. I’m sure they will be reading everyone’s feedback 👍🏻
The ROG Ally is not capped at 60. You can choose settings up to 120 or put it on “unlimited” so it really just depends on the game you’re playing and the settings you’re using. 180fps is pretty high so I wouldn’t guarantee it on a lot of games, but you should set your settings to focus on FPS
Sorry bud. I shoulda watched first before a asked about the heat. But what did grab my attention is this doubles as a switch dock? are you able to test?
Yeah the USB-C connection works with a lot of new devices. The only thing is the Switch plugs in from the bottom, so it may not be able to rest inside the dock’s body, but there are reviews on the iVANKY website from people that use it as a Switch dock and plug in USB controllers
If you're docking to a TV, your TV may have a 'game mode'. Try changing your ROG Ally from 60hz to 120hz, and also try setting up AMD FreeSync (VRR) for that. Make sure you're using a HDMI 2.0 cable. You can mess with display settings like resolution, your Windows output settings, and in-game settings
It can be a bit of trial and error. On your Ally, go into Windows display settings and change the resolution for the TV to 1080 on your Ally. Try setting up AMD FreeSync. AMD Anti Lag is another festure you can turn on in the AMD software to reduce input lag. There are reddit posts online about this issue, have a read through those as well. There are different things you can try, including a new cable
Don't know if you have this problem, but I currently can't use it to play sound through a television. Video still plays, ports still work, all except the sound still plays from my ROG Ally. I have the official ROG Ally dock, which is a power brick with its own cable, a USB 3.0 port, and an hdmi port, and it automatically plays audio to the connected TV.
I wonder if that’s just the volume settings in Windows itself? Your volume output may have to be changed from the Ally’s speakers to the TV. I’ve had to change that generally in Windows sometimes throughout the years
@batpixel Not possible. Even when trying to make it find a device, the display on the TV's end will just go black for 5 to 12 seconds. Chances are, this dock was built with the intention to make it a flat-out desktop.
@@Rybear1977 I can confirm my official ROG dock audio did work with my TV. Do you have other kinds of HDMI cables to try as well? I'd suggest checking for all updates again and try ASUS customer care. They may have an easy solution or a driver for you to install
That’s very strange. I haven’t experienced that myself and I’ve used wireless too. You can check for updates in Armory Crate and also Windows updates. But if you’re still experiencing the wifi issue specifically with the dock, it may be worth contacting the company to troubleshoot or replacement

Can you use the 65w charger that came with Ally in this dock connect to 4k tv via hdmi and get that turbo mode? Or you need 100w charger?
You can use the charger that came with the Ally

Hey there! Question... I'm getting a little bit of imput lag upon docking my Ally, what do I do to fix this?

@@batpixel I just have a normal hdmi cable, should I get a 2
0 pne?
That's what they recommend
@@batpixel If I get one of those hdmi 2.0 or 2.1 ones plus turn my tv to game mode I should probably have a smooth experience possibly I'm guessing?

Sorry im new in this world , can I use this dock to transfer games from a usb to my rig ally?
Yes your ROG Ally will pickup the USB drive the same as if you plugged it directly into it

Such a professional and genuine review of product. Thank you.
Thank you
Hey man great vid, any chance you tested other resolutions like 1080p, 120hz or 1440p, 90hz
Cheers
1080P works perfect, I left it at 60hz because my TV can only do that high. On their website it's rated 60hz at 4K
I could give you an update on July 3rd I've got one coming for my steam deck
@KyouHatesU thank you 🦇 I have another video releasing today for another dock that has a more compact design. But same thing, tested at 1080
The dock station kills my wireless Connection

What charger did you use? 100 wt?
Yeah the charger that came with the ROG Ally
What part of the island are you on lol
