I've had people comment they are having issues connecting PS4 controllers to Bluetooth handhelds. I use Xbox and N64 Brawler controllers, which both have options to connect via "X-Input" and they work great There is another mode called "D-Input" that may not work if that's what Playstation controllers are using. But from what I've been reading it seems like people struggle with them

You could do that if the PS4 don't work. The company 8BitDo makes good Bluetooth controllers too, I know people use their SN30 line of controllers with retro handhelds. Just keep in mind when you connect a controller via Bluetooth, it will automatically connect as "Port 2" and also assigned it as Player 2 in RetroArch. So if you want to use it as Player 1, just assign "Port 2" as Player 1. The handheld itself is setup as "Port 1" already

I completely agree. I recently made a video about muOS (about 30 minutes long or so) but towards the end I have a section where I show people how to map the controller in Retroarch for different game systems easier like Nintendo. Similar to this video, but I presented it better I think. But yeah, you basically have to map any new controller generically first in the main menu as a 'port'. Then map the controller to a game specifically like I did with Mortal Kombat as 'Port 1' for Player 1 controls. It is confusing, especially when you get into retro handhelds that are already setup as 'port 1' so you have to setup new controllers as 'port 2' for Player 1. This video about the SEGA Genesis 6 button mapping is what inspired me to make the channel in the first place. I was frustrated trying to find out how to do it

Just follow the same folder structure so muOS can find it in the right place. If it's still looking on your 1st card for games, you may have to change the file location directories. If you're having any issues it might be worth asking their community on Discord who may have a 2 card setup

I never got my hands on a gamesir yet, but this is a very solid choice, especially for Android users. If you decide on this one, definitely use the app with it

Yeah I know GameCube had a mix of analogue & digital. I guess they are replicating the joycon triggers as just pretty much buttons

​@@islandplace7235 IK. Still haven't found a decent way to play SMS emulated with a decent GameCube esc controller. The only way I could find was to get an og and use a Wii or something like that.

Yes, I just plugged mine in before commenting. The middle piece has lights that turn red when it is charging and the same lights came on when I plugged the joy cons in

It seems like since my tutorial, they started only releasing 16GB software updates, which should be fine if you're using a 2nd SD card for your games. You'd think they would keep 64GB options available for future updates 🤔

Did you buy yours stock? Mine came with a specific 'CrossMix SD card' from MechDIY, so if you don't have that card then you won't have the customized software

It's really on a game by game basis. The best thing to do is try and compare depending on what you're playing. The option is now a clickable button in command center you can add in Armory Crate, so it's a lot easier to turn off/on

I haven't tried knulli. Does Bluetooth work on it? Maybe I'll have to make a comparison video sometime. But the only thing I don't like about muOS is that they have not added Blueooth yet (but they plan on it) and art scrapers are a bit of work

It seems like 'JELOS 20240206' is a decent software version you can install on this. There are more options you can go with. If you find a recent video on UA-cam installing custom firmware on this device you'll be able to follow along with it if you need to. I always reccomend getting reliable SD cards called SanDisk. @@bsdontop1000 mine came with a case included from UK.Whatgeek. As for screen protection, I don't use them on stuff like this. It goes from case to hand and back to case. Why would it ever get scratched? I really only use screen protection on mobile phones.

It's always better to use your own ROMS by, most of the ones they ship are broken

The USB has a higher quality than the previous versions while combining the 2 options from the last gen. The uni-2 is uni-directional

Oh my bad, I was replying to your comment thinking this was my SP review video 😆 yeah muOS does not have Bluetooth yet, but they will add it in the future. If you can wire in the controller, try using the USB/OTG port on the top. You may have to set it up as 'port 2' in RetroArch. Also, the SP itself is setup as 'Port 1' and assigned as 'Player 1' in the games. So I'd reccomend after you setup your controller, go under Player 1 controls in a game, and set it as 'port 2' for your controller. When I do this, I set 'port 1' (the SP) as Player 2
