1- Normally clean the engine with flush before adding new oil and filter, also use recommended synthetic oil.
2- Checked the cause of engine catching fire and all seems in order.
3- Checked the wiring and still no rodent found eating, luckily my actual neighborhood has plenty cats, my last car wiring got chewed by rats because the parking was close to the trash bins.
4- Replaced the driver door latch actuator and problem seems solved.
5- No paint peeled off.
6- - Maybe burns a bit of oil but not noticeably at 3000mi changes.
7- Cleaned the PCM connectors and after alternator and battery replacement have not seem any more engine check lights, during the alternator problems found the car acts weird due to low voltage and flickering, all that disappeared after replacement.
8- Had problems with dead batteries and at last alternator completely died so replaced it and problem seems solved.
9- Checked the FR axle and is still in good condition.
10- Had the automatic transmission rough shifting, replaced the gear position sensor and problem seems solved.
I still sometimes notice rough idle and high slope climbing stalling, specially at rainy weather so will try testing and replacing ignition coils, found one spark plug dirty and replaced all but problem persists, I don't think the PCM will have problems, hopefully I will squeeze more from this car, or waste more money.
1:07 yup that’s my issue. Door one door handle spring broke too. Other then that it’s held up great for the past 7 yrs
