That autowit box is actually a lot cooler than a normal battery box. It's a capacitor so it charges from your mostly dead battery then uses that power to give you a jump start.
Autowit only works if there is charge in the battery and it isn't at it's end of life. A regular lithium jump start box will jump start larger engines much easier. Project Farm reviewed it and it couldn't handle the tractor engine while similarly priced lithium ones would.
@@MrMega200 yeah, not for every circumstance. But I'd say it is amazing for most circumstances people face. Normal car battery that's just weak/old or 'ran the radio too long' kind of situations. FYI - negative 40 degrees is the same for all temperature scales. -40 celsius = -40 Fahrenheit and there are no negative numbers in absolute scales like kelvin and Rankin.
The Autowit isn't a typical jump starter. It's a capacitor that scavenges what little energy is in the car battery, then feeds it back all at once. You need to connect it to your car battery for a bit for it to "charge".
I have the Hudway Drive and absolutely LOVE it. I like not having to look down so much to see my speed. The GPS function on it is nice, if you don't want to run it on your phone. But most of all I like that it displays my messages in the HUD. The addon options are cool too. You can get blind spot cameras and a back up camera for it, as well as a forward facing night vision camera. It's a cool product.
I actually got a HUD off amazing for like $18 a couple years ago. I mainly got it because the engineers at Mazda decided that my 2012 Mazda3 Skyactiv 6spd manual didn't need a coolant temp gauge, we just get a blue light for cold and a red light for overheating so by the time you hit red it's probably too late. My HUD does speed/temp/rpm/voltage although the rpms are real slow and the speed is not very accurate but IT plugs into the obd2 and reads the temps that way so I didn't have to mess with sensors or install a temp sensor in the hoses. Works good for that.
@@tombates9122 the newer one I got was a bit more expensive but it's also got a nicer display and the rpms almost match the cars, there's a slight delay. My old one the rpms were like 2 seconds behind. The new one I got is the "ACECAR Head Up Display Car Universal Dual System 3.5 Inches HUD", it's got GPS, compass, temp, rpm, and some other features. You can choose to have the mph by GPS or run off the cars ecu. But it was worth spending a little more. I did cut a little piece of plastic and made a taller hood for it so I couldn't see the actual device at all, just used double sided tape and stuck it to the side, but that's mainly due to the angle of my dash.
Well if one part is going to be strong it's going to be the thing that holds the child seat secure. You can bet no company wants the PR nightmare from from THAT going wrong.
On my old phone, I used to have an app that would either change the background or make the entire app translucent to display basically your camera. It worked surprisingly well and I'd have a phone mount set up above my dash with GPS (imagine all that white empty space on Google Maps being your camera displaying whatever is in front of it like the road while keeping the roads on screen), but I mostly used it to walk and text or play games and stuff while still seeing directly in front of me. Just don't go into it thinking it'll look like you have a clear phone or anything, mine had slught camera lag when in use, so it was obviously delayed by 1/4 of a second but I loved it still.
@@forehand101 That sounds like a cool idea, but I would imagine it would suck power like no other since you're running navigation as well as just having the camera app open and displaying a live feed. The adhesive mount is kind of weak though... still deciding if I want a more permanent install.
Not sure but I think the automotive bag might have been a fire/explosion risk. You're trapping gas fumes in a plastic bag for an indefinite amount of time. The fumes might also make the interior of the car smell after a while.
@@michaelclouse942 For modern cars, that is true. Older cars lack the emissions control hardware that prevents those vapors from escaping. In addition, fuel formulas have changed and now include a percentage of ethanol, which deteriorates the rubber fuel lines on classic cars that haven't been replaced with stainless steel.
....at that point it doesn't even matter since you've dragged that bag thing over ground/dirt 12:44 and then over the car, so your paint is scratched to hell.... The car might just go into fireball at that point....

I kick started the original Hudly, that HUD is awesome you mount to the windshield behind the visor and it projects down into a glass screen on the windshield reading from OBD2 port so you not only get speed, but rpm, fuel, volts, temp etc.

The Versatire looks like a valid product too, but you're not wrong about the magnet. I'd get the toy car thing if it let you drive your car like James Bond.
A bar with trays on it is going to be in your way with most anything you're doing under the hood of a car that requires multiple tools. A better solution is to pull up a table or a tool box next to the car with a work top on it.
They forgot to mention the main difference between Autowitt and the other battery jump starter. The autowitt doesn't have battery in it. I've had Li battery jump pack deplete over time and takes a while to get a full charge. The autowitt uses super capacitors, if you still have some juice left, it can charge the capacitors in few min using the 12V cigarette lighter port. The downside of the device is that if your battery is fully depleted, you won't be able to charge it, also, you won't be able to initiate the jump sequence since it doesn't detect the battery. It takes a while to charge via 5V.

That one for boosted safe that shows the robbery while the people were in their Prius, it was camera equipment in the car they stole after casing the people and the car.
One of the reasons I invented the boosted safe was because I was a videographer and had more money in camera equipment, hard drives and laptops than my car was worth.
It’s funny, I actually new a few of these back when I was more active in researching about engineering (stopped getting involved as much in kickstarter side of inspiration when I decided I didn’t want to go into engineering as a career). The hudway is one that showed up at least 5 years ago but I think longer so it kind of explains the weirdness, also explains why the access to HUD apps is so bungy.

5:45 Is a great tool for tire rotations, other than that its easier to set in on the ground. Omega Also makes that same thing 10x better for cheaper lol.
Autowit-alikes are all over the place now. It's actually a must-have in your vehicle, if you don't already have a jump pack or camping power pack. It's not bulky and stores easily. Mine does have external battery pack USB ports but i do not use it for that purpose. I think the older jump packs could jump more times, but these in general provide 5-6 jumps. That should be, in general, all you need to get to somewhere you can get a new battery.
I keep an Autowit in my car. It’s jump started probably 5 different cars, and works every time (except once when the car battery was deader than dead can be).

I want to see how you put the car in park after it's in the bag. And get the key out so you don't drain your battery. A manual transmission might be fine if you chock the tires
Did anyone notice that to use the car dust bag you have to roll your car into it? So you can’t use it unless you’ve got a flat surface or want to wreck your car in a bag 😂

And they pushed the car into the bag. That seems like a risk to me.
That boosted safe thing makes me realize is a whole market of car accessories I havent seen. All cars have by law the child seat anchors that can withstand the inertia of a child in a serious collision. Boosted pet carriers or things to hold groceries.
I want to look for a seat anchor pet carrier now!
Absolutely these uses are certainly part of the patent we filed.

FYI - negative 40 degrees is the same for all temperature scales. -40 celsius = -40 Fahrenheit and there are no negative numbers in absolute scales like kelvin and Rankin.
Ah yes, -40=233.15

The Autowit isn't a typical jump starter. It's a capacitor that scavenges what little energy is in the car battery, then feeds it back all at once. You need to connect it to your car battery for a bit for it to "charge".
0:56 i like that they moved the engine cover in imply the motor was starting

Oh, I might need one for my Impreza which does the same thing. It's a 2012, too. Strange that they went with that system and it really annoys me.
My guess, is Boosted Safe is called that because it attaches like a Booster seat for kids.
Well if one part is going to be strong it's going to be the thing that holds the child seat secure. You can bet no company wants the PR nightmare from from THAT going wrong.
It also kind of looks like one with the cover on. Which makes sense, because it doesn't look like anything particularly valuable.
@@MyRegardsToTheDodoIt looks like a box, window definitely getting smashed.
Boosted Safe's hinge is exposed and you could pop that pin out in like 2 seconds with a product from Lock Picking Lawyer's store.
Na...
Do you remember the app name? And is it still in the play store/can you get it from apkpure?
@@UnitZER0 oh I have no idea. I remember there being tons of them tho, all claiming to make your phone look like something made by Tony Stark lmao
@@forehand101 That sounds like a cool idea, but I would imagine it would suck power like no other since you're running navigation as well as just having the camera app open and displaying a live feed. There's a reason most camera apps have a timeout function for if you have it open for too long without doing anything.
@@moogle68 Oh yeah, that app could suck a battery through a garden hose if you know what I mean lmao. In my car, it was always plugged in so not a problem, but walking around and using it would only last 45-60 minutes on my phone that I normally only charged every few days lol

The tool monkey is for grease monkeys. I'm guessing thats why its named that
I think he was right saying it was invented by someone who's never worked on a car. All I kept thinking was, one wrong move and, instead of dropping a spanner down the engine bay, you've lost a whole toolkit down there.

10:15 - I own a Hudway Drive. It's pretty great, and works quite well. I like how it can tie into your OBDII system as well.
Where can you buy one ? My buick lesabre came with a HUD from factory and it was amazing, but now that I drive an 80s bmw, I miss it a lot
Yeah I realized they completely misunderstood the product when they bought a smart phone reflector HUD as a “similar product.”
@@vladpcgamer Hudway has their own site, but you'll need to google it. They've sold out for now, but batch 6 will be shipping in March 2024.
@@vladpcgamer Many people placed orders and waited over a year and never got the product, and many had a hard time getting refunds, and had to file disputes with credit card companies. Maybe same reason why Donut cannot get one either. It was a brilliant product idea, but they struggled to commercialize.
I also have a Hudway Drive, love the thing. It is great to do a split second check my speed/oiltemp/battvolatage by just changing my focus. Also when messages come up, instead of turning my head to the headunit, I can read everything while still looking at the road. The adhesive mount is kind of weak though... still deciding if I want a more permanent install.
Justin is awesome, glad he is part of the team now!
Not sure but I think the automotive bag might have been a fire/explosion risk. You're trapping gas fumes in a plastic bag for an indefinite amount of time. The fumes might also make the interior of the car smell after a while.
Other types if products are out there already like the bag its safe most fuel systems are sealed systems so fuel dosent escape let alone fumes
The car might just go into fireball at that point....
for the last one I really hoped the bag would win and get funded
I mean if it really works it would be a banger product because it could protect your car from snow, leaves, dust and so on
7:01 bold move having the black guy do the robbery
That’s a reach
You know, I might be a bad person for this. But getting Justin to commit the robbery is just out of pocket funny to me.
I kick started the original Hudly, that HUD is awesome you mount to the windshield behind the visor and it projects down into a glass screen on the windshield reading from OBD2 port so you not only get speed, but rpm, fuel, volts, temp etc.
This certainly won't go wrong. 😂
Y’all have exhausted these types of videos to a whole other level.
I dunno, Tool Monkey looks pretty useful, how many times have you needed a place to put tools etc so you aren't dropping them into the engine bay?

WOW i loved seeing you hold the products while trying them...
