Hi Friend, I always enjoy your money talks. Some wins for my family in May and june were we paid off our big 15 passenger van🎉. And the auto insurance dropped from 2200$ to 1100$ ! We decided not to take any long family vacations since my husband is still unemployed. We took some day trips to Maine of course. We also live near hiking trails , lakes and falls so the kids are still having a great summer. My washer is always on the fritz probably because i do 3 loads a day, so i purchased a small apartment sized washer that I keep in my master bath for small loads. I'm keeping my eye out for one of the speed queen washers 😊. Hope you are enjoying your summer in the woods of maine.
Hi ❤️. Love getting the update! It sounds like you have accomplished so much. I'm excited, for you! Still loving the commercial speed queen. They make the same machine with a different model number now, because it is updated to not have the stupid lid lock on it. I think it is called classic speed queen and it is around $1500. I can imagine keeping a washer going would be a struggle with a big family, it is a struggle with people doing just a few loads a week, because they build most of them to fail now. I'm so glad you were able to do some day trips with the family. Maine is a great place to do it. I will continue to pray that your husband finds work. I actually have an amount I call yearly expenses - I have a total that I divide by 12 - this bucket as hubby calls me dividing money covers car repairs property taxes vet bills and birthdays and Christmas - they are all at different times but putting the money in makes it easier
You did great! I have cut my electric by 50 just by not using my air and dryer.
