I picked up one recently for $25 Cdn with a recoil problem. Fixed that and it starts and runs great. Never seen one before but will try to sell it for considerably more than I paid for it. The carb and throttle are similar to older English motorcycles

Nice trimmer! My astron hedge trimmer (similar to TMC in SoCal) has the latest version of the TF 22. Love the sound of those older kawasaki engines
Yesm its cool, TMC and Astron ive always wanted one. I love how they still have a mitsubishi engine option. Theyre very similar to the bannerman trimmers.

I'm looking to buy one too. The used that engine on the Motoboard's from the 80's
I have the same Kawee engine on a hedge trimmer. Can you list the replacement diaphragm make and part number you used. Looking to rebuild the carb too.
Jerry G like I said the carburetor kit I used was just the metering diaphragm from a walbro kit. It’s not the correct one for this carburetor. But it does mount up fine and works okay. I also did not use the gasket I just re used the original Kawasaki one. I’m sure if you look you can find the original carburetor kit for the Kawasaki. I just used what I had on hand to see if it would work and if it had not I would have purchased the proper kit.
I guess it’s a plus being a lefty with this trimmer then!!
