The sign read "China Lake sheriffs Office, Hopi county" Actually, China Lake is a military installation (Navy Weapons Station) in Kern county, across the fence from the town of Ridgecrest CA. I recognize the scenery since I have lived in the area for 30 years, since I was stationed at china Lake until I retired from the Navy.
On second thought, much of the outdoor scenery, including the hospital sign appear to have been filmed near Joshua Tree, CA Maybe that is why there were so many scenes in which I didn't recognize the landscape.
@@billroton again, are you able to distinguish between historical documentary, and fictional drama? It's not a deep notion, that of enacting a story through imaginative devices, but perhaps it's a challenge for some people. Especially nowadays, with a political landscape that really requires erasing these contrasts between imaginative facsimile and reality.
Good, except I don't get why the sheriff hung around shooting at beer cans with the dude when he knew his deputy wasn't responding...wouldn't that take precedence?
@It's 5 o'clock somewhere!! Probably because there was a part of him that both questioned whether he was guilty, and because he kind of liked him and understood his disenchantment in the system.
God is Love. There is nothing but God. So why pursue anything but Love? To serve anyone is to serve God. If you helped my child you will have helped me. No? Money is but a tool. It has no other purpose or meaning. To sell your soul is simply to forsake service for greed. When we turn to self service our hearts are tortured. No crime is worth the pain it inflict upon our soul. Everyone has a heart. We can try to ignore it, but the heart will always prevail. See how beautiful people really are?

Most of the outdoor scenery appears to be have been filmed along highway 178 through Walker Pass, in the Sierra Nevada, about 40 miles from China Lake.
I recognize the scenery since I have lived in the area for 30 years, since I was stationed at china Lake until I retired from the Navy.
On second thought, much of the outdoor scenery, including the hospital sign appear to have been filmed near Joshua Tree, CA
Maybe that is why there were so many scenes in which I didn't recognize the landscape.
Okay
billroton is this movie accurate ?
uhm, it's a story. you heard of this concept, 'fiction'?
@@billroton again, are you able to distinguish between historical documentary, and fictional drama? It's not a deep notion, that of enacting a story through imaginative devices, but perhaps it's a challenge for some people. Especially nowadays, with a political landscape that really requires erasing these contrasts between imaginative facsimile and reality.
The voice of the murderer made me realise that he was in Django unchained
Michael Parks has over 140 acting credits to his name. His children act, too.
Good movie 👍👌👍!!! Exactly what a movie should be entertaining!!!
it's a really good movie. so believable. great camera work, sets, acting; very believable, although unbelievable.
Wait, I thought he was trying to collect bullets for comparison. Maybe I got too CSI and read into the scene something not there?
Awesome old times, awesome everything, awesome movies, Pure Talents ♥👌❤

God is Love. There is nothing but God. So why pursue anything but Love?
To serve anyone is to serve God. If you helped my child you will have helped me. No?
Money is but a tool. It has no other purpose or meaning.
To sell your soul is simply to forsake service for greed. When we turn to self service our hearts are tortured. No crime is worth the pain it inflict upon our soul. Everyone has a heart. We can try to ignore it, but the heart will always prevail. See how beautiful people really are?
In the original short film he never gets confronted. He just goes back to work
