A Mother fighting to the end to save her babies by a self centered psychopath. Kristen would be 4 years older than I. She would be a young grandmother by now. Those kids never got to experience life like the rest of us. Because of a selfish narcissist. I read this book in high school. Read up on the internet later. Kassab was a hero. Without him MacDonald would’ve had an extraordinary life of money and whores. And nice cars. No one has ever doubted his brilliance as a Doctor. But he had an Engineer’s mind up against him. Freddie was a great man to never give up and fight for justice. The scene where the FBI forensic expert tells Freddie how the murders took place is the most chilling I have ever seen in any movie. Thankfully the killer is still in prison.
I read once how hard it was for Wendy Schaal and Gary Cole it was to make the murder scene. Gary had to stop to cry. That tells you all you need to know about how horrendous a crime this truly was. Both actors still work to this day. This came out when I was finishing grade school. Gary Cole did an incredible job as did Karl Malden and Eva Marie Saint. For Andy Griffith it springboarded him to Matlock.
