I refuse to believe it's over. I want DMC6 with Nero meeting some new figure, who turns out to be Dante's son, but this time the roles are reversed and Dante's son is actually an asshole. Then they go find their fathers who are caught up in a fierce battle against Mundus resurrected and all hell loose upon them or something.

Dante’s son and Mundus’s return both need to be built up over the course of a game to they can be fleshed out properly. Otherwise the Son of Dante will be a flat character like Nero was in DMC 4 and Mundus won’t be done the justice he deserves. Give the Devil his due

I love the speed, danger and lethality that's communicated by this theme. Chaotic, but also precise, as though each strike and counter is perfectly executed, where any misstep maybe your last.
Basically the fight against Vergil made song, every time I fight Vergil I basically only use the Devil Sword Dante (the weapon I am better at using) because otherwise I just can't hit him without him hitting me three times more, it's almost like it was made to be fought with only the sword
Fits even more with the dante fight in the vergil dlc, they really added the most difficult boss in the entire series at the end of a dlc, he makes very precise combos with extremely little downtime for you to get hits in.

Really sad that this track never got the hype and praise it deserves, it feels like an evolution of the Nero Angelo themes with their EDM style and dark synths mixed with some industrial/heavy metal sounds and the choirs/organ that are so characteristic of Vergil's themes in 3. As a _song_ I understand why Bury the Light got popular, but as a battle track? This still has to be one of Vergil's best tracks, really sad it's not an option for his battle tracks in 5.
It's what happened with Devil Trigger too, they're *songs*, this is a track. They are the kind of songs that you usually hear outside of the game and on repeat and multiple times, which lead to them being WAY more popular.
I love how DMC5 subtly exhibit how much the twins have changed. Vergil is smiling to present his gratitude for being reborn and obtaining more, if not enough, power. And Dante taking the situation more seriously with a stern face and is ready to truely “end” this conflict instead of joking around.
i been listening to this a lot lately and it makes me wish casey edwards did the theme for dante too. both his songs for nero and vergil were literally chart topping and still fit perfectly with the characters, not a doubt in mind he would make the perfect song for him
Personally, I didn't like Dante's theme that much. it was good and nothing more. 1 Year later Edited: i was wrong, it's fucking legendary theme just as Bury the Light.
It was the right decision. You have to understand Dante is a different beast to Vergil and his son. He is listening to og trash metal the moment he debuts on screen in DMC1.

I was replaying this game the other day after first playing it back in 2019 and man I completely forgot about this amazing music, it got me so hyped up.

Now, Dante wants to take something from Vergil. The only difference is that Dante is now more than willing to kill Vergil, compared to before, where he tried to save his brother.

This fight is basically the final fight from 3 in reverse. There, Vergil wanted to take something from Dante. Now, Dante wants to take something from Vergil. The only difference is that Dante is now more than willing to kill Vergil, compared to before, where he tried to save his brother.

Tbh i think the plot of dmc6(or if it even ever comes out) is that vergil and dante finally finds sparda except he was corrupted by the new demon king, and dante and vergil both lost against they're dada and nero has to clean the mess up and beat the demon king and sparda.
