Can never get enough reminders about this😒😁. I'm in the beginning of year 3. Can't even believe it. I started with a tapered short fro, so my locs are different lengths, but it's giving me a layered look that I'm enjoying watch develope. I'm obsessive, though, and trying not to be, but it's hard. "Journey" is TOTALLY the right word for this experience. Every week I practice self-talk to stay encouraged and positive. So glad I started this journey, though. I remind myself it really is going faster than I think.
Ya know, I’ve heard people even think that someone else’s hair may look better because the loctician may like a person more, so they figure the loctician took their time, more with that person! And not thinking about the integrity or the overall health of the person’s hair! You’re a great teacher and inspiration!
Thanks for all that information, and you are so right. everyones loc journey is so different, just like our personality is different, I love my starter micro locs. Most people dont even realise your health plays an important part with your hair as well as genetics 😊
I've been enjoying my microloc journery from the beginning to now started with 10-11" of hair and with the two strand twist method 18-montns ago. But sometimes I do feel like I should have gone the sisterloc route because I dont feel like I have a lot of locs in my head. I see others and they seem to have like 400-500 extremely small locs and mine "seem" big. But then I get people thinking I have sisterlocs, and many can't believe I started with two strand twists. My loctician told me Im the smallest two strand twists she's ever done. 😊 Then, I also think about how I have documented from the beginning so I can show others that we might all start differently... but in the end, they are all going to look the same. ❤🎉
