Im vios user . Yes , new vios a bit noisy , n u can hear other vehcles from cabin . Its not soundprve like u all expected . But i can feel the POWER of engine n pick up . Its bter then city and jazz . I dont know why when i hold the steering i feel like , i can feel the car movement directly to my hand ,slow or fast(its very importnt to know ur car speed and environment) i dnt know what sound of cabin that u want , until u dnt know that ambulance behind u even tsunami coming also u dnt know LOL . i feel heavy n comfortble.... . How can u say its plastic made ? . I drove city and jazz i feel so light , the steering very soft but its uncmfortable...... im scare n not cnfdence. Body roll.... omg.... (but new civic very nice) . 1.5 new Vios no mode (zero) also can smoke Civic fd 1.8 . Got throttle control n everything but cant beat vios . I think VIOS is very good . Cheap.... , fuel save... and looks sporti...... .

Hi Louis, do you experience some sort of pulling force when speed come under 20km/hr? It felt like a 1st gear and dragging. I have reported this to SC and they told it is normal due to 7 speed CVT? I said what? I thought it is CVT transmission which it is supposed smooth drive.

Tergantung pada apa yang anda lebih pentingkan, saya lebih suka honda city punya driving experience, pada pendapat saya, lebih seronok dan bunyi enjin tak sebising vios. Tapi bukannya vios tak baik pun, tengoklah siapa boleh bagi pakej yang lebih baik antara vios gx dan honda city v spec. Kalau ada extra duit, hyundai ioniq+ lagi bagus.
Long term and durability go for vios no matter which car you get test drive first do some research from real owners and ask your mechanic remember in the end you are the one paying
Overall this new vios has better handling and if you test drive it try using shiftronic(gear stick) instead of the paddle shifter, the shiftronic makes it nicer to drive in a way, but if you ask me i still dont like cvt because of the neverending drone noise but it is what it is, output power from engine is sufficient too , it doesn't feel underpowered for what it is.. built quality also feels more refined than the previous model, sound insulation especially from the engine is also better means it's quieter now.

If can afford it comfortably I'd say the 2019 vios regardless. If not the persona is a functional car too, in-city fuel consumption can get an average of 6.6l/100km which is pretty good and about 400+km per tank, from my experience

+Mann mann Vios is alright and if you don't mind Korean, I would recommend Hyundai Ioniq actually. Its features are better than Vios and the fuel consumption is much better than Vios since it's a hybrid. No harm going to a showroom to have a look at the ioniq.

This car is quite decent in terms of ride quality, road noise is there but bearable. The noise that imo is quite unbearable is the engine noise when you really accelerate the car (as I did in the video), it's really intrusive. And imo I'm not a fan of the CVT as it doesn't help with the driving experience despite having 'virtual' 7 speed sports sequential shift, I'd reckon it can be quite a dull drive on long distance driving although Toyota claims it helps with the fuel consumption. Well everyone has their own preference. By the way it's a 1.5l naturally-aspirated with variable valve timing, with 106hp 140Nm. If you would like to have another option to consider, you may even look at Hyundai Ioniq. It's not a bad choice too considering the features that you're getting for that price range. ps: I don't work for either toyota or hyundai, just my personal opinion. Hi Louis, What do you mean by "Virtual" 7 speed? I can feel the transmission is not smooth especially when come under 20km/hr. I can feel like a 1st gear and pulling force feeling. For the fuel consumption, it SUCKS! Even Toyota heavily claimed in their ads with ECO drive will have fuel efficiency and I totally disagreed! Urban driving fuel consumption is very high! I am really disappointed though

I dont mean to alarm you or guarantee that it is a problem though. If it's very noticeable maybe you should make a complaint to insist that they diagnose and recitfy it because I'll never rule out that service centres bullshit customers all the time, I'm not pointing at toyota in particular though. Personally, I think the ECO indicators in this segment of cars are just for show, true eco mode will alter climate controls, throttle response and power delivery, without altering those I actually think it's false advertising. sasukeshann I'm not offended by it. I am only annoyed by the fact that vios is getting compared to hondas which is obviously more expensive and luxurious. If youre going to criticize a car then make sure that it is compared to a car which is of the same price range.
In malaysia, vios and honda about the same price range. so it is acceptable to compare both vios vs city. as you can see its already mention Malaysia on the video title.

2019 has now 7 airbags abs,vsa, and hsa standard on all variants.

I'm sorry if this video is sh*t, as the title suggests clearly that this video is a 'pov test drive' video that means it would only show the drive of the car. There are many channels on UA-cam that does pov drives overseas like autotopnl, it's basically a separate 'genre' of car videos. If I do a review I will state it in the title. And there's also a short feedback on the driving experience of the car in the video description. But thanks for the comment.

Cheap interior, too much PLASTIC. Thought the doors side panel were fabric, but even the woven tread were PLASTIC.

sasukeshann I'm not offended by it. I am only annoyed by the fact that vios is getting compared to hondas which is obviously more expensive and luxurious. If youre going to criticize a car then make sure that it is compared to a car which is of the same price range.
In malaysia, vios and honda about the same price range. so it is acceptable to compare both vios vs city. as you can see its already mention Malaysia on the video title.
