My cousin has this truck and I've driven it once. I agree with the acceleration part, it feels a bit sluggish at times. Also the gear stick is in an odd position for me but it was an okay ride. Can't really say anything much since I've only driven it once.
Reliability would be? Maintenance? Cause i plan to get 1 of those that you have.. i was into ford wildtrak.. but lately i have seen in fb that it broke down a lot 10k 20k miles already got many problem 😅
Which is better overall before buying..hilux or ford ranger? From performance ,reliable sapre parts good and cheaper maintenance for the upcoming future for the both truck..
My opinion is hilux. But ford ranger performance better slightly. I never own these trucks but it would be a good idea to search for owners group on facebook and they usually will discuss problems of the cars
Great video Louis. How does this Hilux compare to Mitsubishi Triton Mivec? Which one is more bumpy, noisy and which one gives you more better handling experience?
Hands down Hilux will be my pick. 2 main things, the triton is very uncomfortable, at least to me, it felt bumpier, steering doesn't have feedback at all. Hmmm
Actually hilux revo is good however in malaysia the price tag of the top spec is just 10k less than the ford ranger wildtrak. This 10k difference from the wildtrak offers a lot more features which no pickup in the industry have. If the price is around 120k for the top spec and will gladly buy it over the wildtrak since is cheaper
+Moonface00z I think some consumers are more inclined towards the Toyota brand which i think it's totally up to them, and i think Wildtrak is a 3.2l? which will also be a point of consideration for some as the climb in road tax is quite substantial.
+E A the list of features that the wildtrak offers is really quite impressive over the hilux . To save myself from typing the whole long list, here's a link that says it all www.carsome.my/news/item/Head-to-Head-Ford-Ranger-Wildtrak-vs-Toyota-Hilux-G . Remember to consider some things before jumping into it just to help you decide better like the difference in road tax and after sales quality as well as reliability, if those concerns you.
bro, how about making a POV for hilux 2.8 L Edition? it's kinda similar to 2017 2,8G i assumed. thanks in advance if you consider to test drive the 2.8 L Edition. planning to get one soon
A lot of people say here in Philippines Toyota sedans and suvs are boring and overpriced. Despite of the disadvantages of having Toyota we still prefer this car because of its reliability, practicality, and affordable maintainance. You do not buy a Toyota Vios, Altis, Fortuner, Innova, and Hilux for performance but for everyday use, reliability, and practicality
You're right, and it's because of the demand that's why toyota won't back down on the pricing making their cars overpriced for the features consumers get
@@LouisSiah Yeah That is what I see in the pricing of cars of Toyota here in Philippines. Btw we use Toyota Innova as our everyday use. Even though it is boring to use the performance is enough for every day use and can accommodate a lot of loads. We did not have experience major problems in the engine and under chassis. The part that is repaired is the breaks. We did not regret in buying it. I hope our Innova will have more years to come.
+Dino Nesta ohh you mean is it bumpy? It is very bumpy and it doesn't perform very well in terms of handling in it's class. In fact it is so bumpy that I wouldn't choose it as a daily driver. Well that's just my personal opinion.
I'm sorry yes I mean bumpy. Oh that mean its still bumpy, hmm.. I thought Toyota have solve it in the new model lol. Agree with you bro, as a daily driver I'll choose another maybe Ford Rangers. But the disadvantages of Ford Ranger is their maintenance service and spare parts is more expensive. Hope you can test drive Ford Rangers in the new video. Thank you bro.
+Dino Nesta Ya you're right about the maintenance. Lol. I'll certainly try to test drive the Ranger. Mazda video is coming up next first. Thank you for watching bro!

What about an onroad driving? Which is better
I prefer ranger! 2.0 xlt

The reason i liked this pickup is because it is in Resident Evil 8 Village
test drive yesterday -- so smooth, very quite and very good suspension
Dukun Arjuna i know right?! I was surprised too. A lot of people asked why is it so quiet in the video, the fact is that it is really quiet lol
Dukun Arjuna navara better
I also believe navara would be good too. Just that I haven't got the chance to film that lol

Thanks fot upload of Hilux
when you will test drive Honda Accord and Civic FC?
+Thomas Yoong i wil try to get my hands on those. Cheers!
It does attend to freak out
Which is more responsive triton or hilux
Responsiveness is not a major difference but if you consider ride comfort as well, i prefer the hilux hands down.
@@LouisSiah they said 2.4 mivec engines are really faster than 2.8 lol..
2:49 Nice, driving 130 Km/h in a 60 zone. Should have your licence taken away.
Aku apa ok
No problem with your driving...but the road. The rizab jalan only 1 feet away from the divider, like playing a Tamiya mini 4wd.
+iman mohd you mean the road is very narrow? I feel they should've widen the road more if possible.
Yeahh...exactly, besides no room for motorcycles. Quite sad innit? OK mate, have a nice evening.
Kenape tak pilih fortuner???
its as quiet as any luxury saloon isn't it?
Haha ya i realised it is quite quiet. I record the same way for all the cars.
Louis Siah x puas bro pakai eco hahha ..mesti mau power mode hahah
suprisingly quiet..
+Aqeef Zafran2016 I'm surprised too! Only thing is its bumpy, usual for pickups
Great video bro. I've heard Toyota Hilux now isn't 'pumping' anymore like the oldest model. Is that true?
Sorry what do you mean pumping like the oldest model ya?
It wasn't stable on the road. Like ride the horse.. LOL. Is that true?

+المعلم المتفائل Hi! This is in Kuala Lumpur.
Louis Siah Aaaa... This is the capital city.... Thank you for awesome test drive.
And thank you for watching! :)

wtf its so quite inside... or its because of the camera?
+E A the camera picks up even the slightest sound so i guess you can say it's quite quiet inside but you do hear road noise coming from the tyres.
E A this model is very quite interior
120km/h at 2000rpm on overdrive.
*WTF?*
Oh it's partly due to the road as well, slightly sloped and straight so can get up to speed with less effort
6 speed transmission
It has 2 overdrive gears which helps a lot fuel economy wise.
