- At first look it seems like a fairly easy puzzle but the more you look at it it becomes more and more complex. The final win for white is really worth the wait, I can promise you that!
This study was composed by Vladimir Korolkov in 1951.

My compliments to the composer of this puzzle. To come up with such a difficult but clever puzzle must take a lot of work.
This one is crazy
Excellent combination and tactics. Thank you very much. You are just brilliant as always.
Love your videos!! 😊
Really beatiful the last mate with only knight and bishop on the board!
And who said you couldn't checkmate with only a knight against a bishop?!
Such a beautiful puzzle. When I first glanced at it, I never recognized that so many beautiful moves and sacrifices would be required to win it.
Really nice!.
World famous chess study. A study by Korolkov. Great study, but I know it since I was 12 years old.
At 12:14 black can play rook to g6 check and sacrifice the rook then white will take King x g6 then black will follow up by Bishop x f5 and then black king can cover the pawn promotion square? You have not covered this line?
Thanks for pointing this out, it's a very interesting sideline. White still wins this because after Bxf5+ white doesn't take the bishop back. Instead he plays Kf6! The black king is still blocked out and the pawn will promote next move.
White does not capture the Bishop. He plays Bf6 and queens on the next move.
great!!
Keep the King out of the corner!
Very good
Thanks for presenting this!
11:43 "Now he can put it (the rook) on f8". This is not that correct, as Ng6+ will win the rook and the game.
this is easy, just play against Martin...
Could you find something harder, lol.
