As much as I love the headline and the whole Villanova Knicks vibe, that's too many picks for a 2nd/3rd caliber guy. This trade will haunt them in the future.
Not sure what to think about this deal. On one hand Mikal Bridges does upgrade them if they can retain OG, which might seem likely.
On the other hand, the amount of picks they gave up for him is insane considering he's never been selected All-NBA or even selected to an All-star game. Yes the picks are a bit of a gamble, but when you compare it to other trades that have involved around this amount of draft capital. It's always involved players who've been selected to multiple All-Nba teams and All-Star selections throughout their career.

8:20 It is SO frustrating when guys like yall say stuff like this. The month they had Brunson + OG + Randle playing, they were the best team in the league. Asking how Randle fits in and insinuating that he doesn’t really fit is insane. He was playing some of the best basketball of his career and fit perfectly next to his teammates before the dislocated shoulder. Where does this random idea come from? So frustrating.

Hey, I was just checking to see what time the nba draft starts so I went to Google and typed in "NBA draft time" . Then, if you scroll down a bit there's a link to a NY Times article about the draft but it's using a No Dunks picture for me. I thought maybe just because I was signed in that it was bugged, but when I went into incognito mode and did the same search I could reproduce. NY Times using No Dunks thumbnails??? The heck? Here in NYC still waiting on a real playoff run. Don't think this was the move to make one happen. Feels like this is going to be a big overpay, trying to make a #3 guy a #2 guy.
Hell the Celtics just won the title because they had 4 of these "#3 guys" to go with their 1 and 2 guys.
The trade is cool and all, but I don't see the Knicks a 'instant Contender' like people are saying.
Hartenstein had some moments, but overall Knicks bigs are trash.
They need a solid big to contest Pingus/Big Al/(healthy) Greekzilla/Jokic/Gobert. Otherwise is more of the same.

I never missed an episode of the The Starters and in my long drives, I listened to the Drop. I was sad when they let The Starters go, the chemistry between the 4 of you was amazing. And I think it's such a breath of fresh air from the other shows on ESPN/NBATV (every other show just seems so repetitive, it's always arguing and arguing - sometimes I just want to have a good time).
