I want to get a Fretless 5 string only because of the Our Oceans albums. Love that sound! Especially when trying to write my own prog style songs!
Talking about fretless bass, I can't avoid to think about your amazing performance on Exivious and Liminal albums, years ago! You were pushing fretless to the end both on melodic and rythmic aspects! I'll join the crowdfunding campaign especially to support you on fretless playing :)

I love the fretless sound. Been a lover of fretless since listening to Steve DiGiorgio on Death's Individual Thought Patterns, and then in Jazz/Fusion bands like Brand X...
That's where I heard fretless bass for the first time as well, Individual Thought Patterns.
@@tymonkruidenier1400 and I really love that same sound on your albums as well. I think that it is an integral part of your sound. The sound of a fretless instrument is soothing. It relaxes me. 👌🏻
The Philosopher is the reason I started playing fretless bass! Big big influence for sure.
@@RobinZielhorst I think I have never heard DiGiorgio's fretless work so well recorded, and he's recorded on so many bands... Not even Human. I love guitar, and it is my instrument of selection, but I mainly listened Individual Thought Patterns because of that distinguishable fretless bass sound. And in Our Oceans your fretless work is on spot. I got to say, Tymon is a master at production, because all the instruments are perceivable-every performer shines on both albums. I don't know who produced the Exivious albums, but the same can be said about them.

Robin, what is the scale length on that Roks ? It looks longer than 34” but I might be wrong.
I'm pretty sure it's 34". I love that bass, man. Plays and sounds amazing.
@@RobinZielhorstThank you, I plan to build for myself a 5 string fretless bass and not sure if I need a longer scale fore that low B. But 34” is probably enough. 😊
