It did tht to me too you are all in the same world but if you want to see him on the map go and add him in game by his hero or villian name then he has to add you back the same way and then go to your friends list then click invite to group and he should be blue on the map
Your share the mission with your friends, if it says that they are higher level, both of you go to the location and enter and you both will be doing the mission. but you must be in a group for it to work.
The best thing to do is go into the police station or villain equivalent and got the where the mail is and use the teleporter and aim to both go to the same place ie Gotham and then you should see them in the list and phase with them to be in the same instance.
***** Jesus, and in Pirates of the Caribbean Online you could teleport anywhere you wanted at any given time instantly XD But I understand if DC wants to be more sophisticated.

And I didn get asked about a Server when I downloaded DCUO for 5 hours.

The only thing I can think of, is if one of you is a villain and the other a superhero, because I think the don't show each other.

Are you both joining the same region USA or EU and you will need to phase with them for them to show up or they phase with you, whichever is needed.
