Luke Kirby was perfectly cast as Jon. In his characterization, he played Jon as a sad and burdened man in his role as attorney for death row criminals. It seemed his greatest pleasure was telling the senator that he hoped his house had termites. Even his scenes with Amantha seemed tinged with regret.
