This is so hard for me to understand. The practice sentences were hard even after I understood your explanation. I mean I guess this concept doesn’t exist in English so I’m trying not to give myself a hard time about it but I just know I need to speed a crazy amount of time on this subject.
I suggest reading a lot (material written in past tense) and just noticing the different verb endings. You'll start to intuitively pick up on the difference over time. That's what I did long before I knew what these types of verbs were called or how to explain it. 🙃 Then occasionally come back to the explanation and see if it starts to make more sense, but spend most of your time with the Spanish material. But it does take time. 🙂
Great teaching as always! I love your Spanish classes. I took a lot from today's lesson and even got to learn about new verbs. The day I will understand how to correctly conjugate verbs like poner, conocer, conducir, decir, hacer and now sacar which I learnt today from you en preterite, imperfecto y futuro, I will walk with my head held high anywhere among native Spanish speakers.
