    Finally a level one video! Thanks for uploading! Tip for new teachers: you don't have to spend money on reward props. I just use the star reward system now that's on VIPKID and focus more on having lesson props. Students' love receiving them especially if they get 5 stars... they can "cash" it in for an actual reward. It has saved me lots of time and money!

    • @Mirjen12
      @Mirjen12 5 років тому +1

      Kids do love the star system, but I have been told multiple times in workshops and throughout the hiring process that it is still good to have your own reward system on top of that. You don't have to spend a lot of money though. You can use your own kids things, printouts, candy, or even Google slides have become popular.

    This is truly amazing, especially now with the covid situation. I've been teaching 1st and 4th graders online for four months now and it's been great. But I've just started with kinder and it's been really hard. I'm so glad I bumped into this video, it helps A LOT. it's my very first time teaching in kinder and online! Double work! I hope to see more videos like this in your channel. As a teacher of English from Argentina these videos are appreciated ♥

      12 months had already passed since we used this specific program, a reading manual. The reading knowledge of my very own girl has continually improved. Right now, she is now able to read a few textbooks. Not just that, she is a superb speller also. What’s even more exciting is she can writes sentences today. Research about this reading book on Google. The reading guide’s name is *4ChildrenReading. Com*

      My partner is really proud of his son’s reading capabilities and he is sharing his story to everybody. We teach our son how to read with the aid of this phenomenal reading guide ChildrenLearningReading5.blogspot.com We used to read to him before going to bed, but now he picks out his personal books and reads to us.

Yet after Two months followed this reading guideline 4ChildrenLearningReading.blogspot.com she has started out beginner novels and reads by herself! The outcomes genuinely surprised me! The program is excellent for any age limit.?

      Patrick Wambugu, I actually have only had a couple of level 1 classes in all this time. I really would like more. I did have a student last week who scheduled one class which I taught and the parents gave me a 5-apple rating. They scheduled another one for next week. I teach mostly level 4 students.

      @@PatrickWambuguh, I can't quite figure out the booking process, so don't know why this student chose me. I do know that once I knew we were going to have the lesson, I tried my very best to be very energetic and active during the lesson. He wanted to dance, jump, climb, play a drum, etc.--all activities in the lesson--so we did them. Plus, I had read the previous teacher notes and found that he was quite advanced for a 5 year old, and well-prepared for lessons, so I was ready for extension. In the parent's feedback, I was given tags for "energetic," "scaffolding," etc. That's all I know. Some of this is the luck of the draw as far as I can tell for bookings, then when we do get a student, we have to give it our all!

    Thank you for sharing this, I enjoyed it. I have a different point of view on the last point, I don't believe in praise, it's a way to manipulate the child so that he does what the adult wants. But if this is your goal, then it works. It has consequences though. If interested, you might want to have a look to the book ''punished by rewards''. Thank you again for sharing. Best

      It really depends on the child. A lot of parents will practice with the kids before class. If a student can answer “what is your name?” with ease, give it a try!
