This is a wonderful demonstration! I have trouble figuring how much "incidental language" is okay with VIPKID. You seem to use it a lot, which makes the class more lively, but I wonder if they would flag that during the mock class. Or would the amount of incidental language depend on the student level?
This is a level 5, and the student is talking far more than I am with the reading, connections and explaining their thoughts! As long as the ratio is in their favor you are golden!
I LOVE the Meg & Mike dolls!!! Do you have a pattern??!! Or can you share where you got them? I'm just getting started with VIPKid and would love to make the dolls for my lessons
Hi there! Completely different topic... I got into VIPKid (your videos are soooo helpful Nancy thank you!). I have extensive teaching experience but still was obligated to do the TESOL...passed mock 2 and 3. I got my video and photos in as well as required documents, passed my background check and turned in tax form....but for a good 5 days my personal documents video and photos are still showing up as “under review”. I reeeeaaally want to start teaching. Is it normal for docs to be under review so long?

I see so many teachers handshaking. Do students understand what this is besides a hand going up and down?
Most do, but if they don't you could model by shaking hands with your puppet or something similar if they look confused!
