8 months on not a single problem with the bike runs perfect is a pleasure to ride.
in portugal this scooter is cheaper than PCX and NMAX and has ABS brake system, top speed is 124km/h
I've had mine just over a year done 3000 miles on it love it

Enjoy it’s a lot of machine for the money having owned 5 syms over 2 decades they make decent bikes the X looks sweet.
just wondering what was the idea in putting the fuel tank under the seat? from a practical point of view it would have been easier putting in the middle like the pcx. i am also looking at the sym adx 125 and wondering if you are doing a review anytime soon?
Excellent review of what seems to be an excellent scooter. I shall seriously consider this over a PCX. Currently ride a Honda 300i, but find it tiresome to manoeuvre on our sloping drive! Thank you for the comprehensive review. Much appreciated now that a test ride is out of the question for most of us.

few questions, i've heard people talk about plastics noise, and weird vibration, also heard about super sensitive alarm and the seat aint straight so ur putting more pressure on ur legs... what can u tell me about that? ( im interested in buying one but all the reviews are so different )

Just watched as I'm contemplating a purchase. I went to look at a Honda PCX yesterday but this looks good. I know very little about SYM reliabilty however, hence thinking about a Honda

The added feature to the keyless system I love this incase your battery is low a key flips out from the fob well done on that lots company's are not thinking on that on Thier new fob keyless systems

After my nmax got stolen this week I'm thinking of getting one of these , are they really that good as don't want to waste my money ?
I bought it after a test drive.Before SYM JET X 125 i had tested YAMAHA NMAX 125 and HONDA PCX 125 it is far better,faster and more powerfull and offcourse more beautifull.

hey nice review, question I want to put a charger on it during winter but cannot locate the battery, the manual says around the footstep but can't locate it. Any idea where it is exactly?
Hi Christophe, the battery is located in the tunnel between your feet, to get access you have to lift up the rubber floor mat on the right-hand side, remove two small screws which allow the black plastic cover to be removed giving access to the battery

Full tank 7.5 litres rode moderate how many miles will it give you..

how do you turn off the alarm?
if you turn the scooter off it will beep after 3 seconds. you don't have time to get off and open the seat or the alarm is already on. super annoying
The choice of leds on this bike is superb + Comfort. Also i am hearing that the Alarm is a bit passive and activates too quickly. (Is there a way to disable it?) But all in all i like this bike and Nice indepth review love it :)
Yes the alarm can be deactivated and also set to silent mode

here in Turkey the 2023 Jet X comes Standard with TCS & ABS, i will be purchasing the Grey version in a few weeks👍🏻

Good review rode sym scooters own 2 presently generally they are reliable.Years ago we had the Honda 70 and the Honda 90 they where ugly bikes but they where built to last just kept on going really reliable.That’s what we are crying out for in 2023 a robust well made bike built by a company that wants the customers loyalty future investment that means not putting together naff cheap parts ripping people off the got your money couldn’t give a stuff attitude that’s prevalent in the industry these days good looking bikes that crap out on you after a month.I think the Sym X 125 looks sweet a great bike for the money I’m buying mine tomorrow I trust the reliability of the Sym brand because I’ve been riding their bikes for 2 decades minimum problems they are robust reliable bikes easy to get parts and basically are trashing the competition on cost.

do you know how to turn on and off the alarm sound? Since day 1 my alarmsound does not work and I can’t find it in the manual… my sound is off at the moment… how to turn it on? Have a nice evening!
The alarm only came on the early models of JetX, it's now an optional extra which can be purchased

Hello, what's the use of the Yellow button located in the STORAGE?
Its an Immobilizer Switch, just another level of security and once activated the engine wont start even if the thief has the key or hotwires the bike
Hi thanks for the great review ! One major question for me - Will this scooter fit tall people? iam 1.88m . enough space for legs? Is this scooter is better than the XMAX 125? thank you !
It's quite a large scooter, so you shouldn't have a problem at all, but we would always advise visiting a SYM dealer to have a sit on one and see one with your own eyes.
Being fair to the XMAX, we'd say they were both good scooters all depends on which you like best, really, but the XMAX is considerably more expensive.

Im 185 and its no problemo, if you are wide the mirrors needs some adjustment but its ok for a tall guy

What do you think about Lexmoto Aura and Apollo compared the reviewed bike
We don't like to dog on other manufactures but the SYM brand is considerably more premium, its hard to see in photos/video but if you had the SYM side by side with the other models you mention it would be easy to see that the SYM is better put together and uses higher quality materials

Bought one of these but cant find the usb port in the draw thats under the handlebars,great bike though,loving it so far 300 miles in
any problem with the bike so far? iv heard people talk about plastic noise, lack of power aceleration, weird vibrations, super sensitive alarm, and just a loud bike when its not moving cause of the biping sounds, can u enlighten me plz? ( i like the looks and i intend in buying one, if its a good scooter )

Thanks Freezy, it's a very smooth ride even at higher speed and RPM, no excess vibration at all

Love the scooter, its a shame they aren't providing ABS. At £3,450. It's £50 more than the N-Max and Yamaha provides ABS as standard and Traction Control which is needed for UK weather conditions.
Traction control is somewhat OTT on a 125 even in the wet weather you'll struggle to break traction on a 125cc machine. Some people do like ABS but again we've got by on 125's for decades without it
@@MotoGBofficial I do agree with you. Its just like air-cooled vs liquid-cooled. Both are good but the price goes up with LC. Also the aesthetics of the Sym Jet X and Sym Jet 14 are way too stylish and aggressive than the PCX & N-MAX. I just placed an order for Sym Jet 14 LC today :)))
@@voraciousfred yeah germany they have abs and euro5. i guess the same time the upgraded the jet 14 to abs, led headlight, eu5 too. i got the jet 14 for its feet room even when right now i could get the jetx cheaper than the jet14

As was said both the PCX and the NMAX is probably the target market, styling looks very pcx influenced.
I currently own a PCX, so thought I might have a little interest. Sadly underseat storage is inadequate and spindly tyre dimensions don't cut it for me. PCX has been criticised for a rear drum brake but it does at least have abs on the front.
The aforementioned mentioned undisputed top seller brands are bound to be more expensive then?
As of today on the road, PCX £3169, NMAX £3399, JET X on the road price today seen on a Motogb dealership advert £3449.
For that reason I'm out

Honda PCX is cheap looking and shitty scooter with drum brakes. I can highly recommend to buy Sym Jet X, which looks waaay better than PCX, believe me. This is fantastic scooter.
I own one and it runs great in all aspects
Sym's smart security system should be rename to Stupid security system. Annoying sounds in inappropriate situations just 1 second after you off the ignition and steering lock makes me crazy. If I have a chance to punch the designer of this stupid security system, I would do it three times.
The Honda Forza 125 beats this bike hands down ... better stowage (enough for two helmets), it's faster, adjustable screen, nicer dash, more convenient fuel cap position, the scooter has ABS, it has selectable traction control etc. This doesn't look a bad scooter, but for it to appeal, it would have to be considerably cheaper.
You talk about cheaper but the Honda Forza is over £1450 more expensive, the Forza is also a larger Maxi Scooter so not the same type of scooter. This is a PCX competitor, not a Forza competitor
@@MotoGBofficial Hi, I was doing a comparison within the 125cc class and stated, in my opinion, the Forza 125 was a far better bike. I also consider, the bike at £3299 is expensive for what it is. The Honda PCX is cheaper and arguably a far superior machine.
@@pompey174 Arguably being the key word, the lack of rear disc brake, alarm system and less power on the PCX would be its downfall in our opinion, obviously depending on whats important to the end user.
Honda forza is good but if you got a budget sym jet x is good for what you want it to doo I was looking in to the honda forza 125cc but it's just a bit to much on the budget side for me but the honda pcx is a gdgd bike but there again its the money side if you have it that's okkkk

great video, great scooter. i had the blue sym jet 14 ac 125 which i purchased in 2019, sadly three weeks ago it was stolen from my home by low life thieven scum and found the next day by the police destroyed by fire. one of the things i like about the sym jet x is the alarm system, if vile thieves try to steal this scooter then the alarm system will make em think twice. one bleep and no doubt the thieves will scarper with no success of taking the bike...
