Back in the day ,SYM used to build Honda cubs under licence . So it should be no surprise , that they are capable of producing some decent reliable machines & good value for money . 👍
Sym are great little scooters I had 3 125cc in the passed do around 63 mph very reliable good little commuter for work ect Keep up good reviews my friend
It's amazing how sym make engines that make only 10 or 11hp yet put out 11nm of torque. They'll only do 60-65mph but they don't hang around getting there. Another fantastic scoot from sym. If money wasn't an issue I think I'd have about 20 125s of various kinds in my shed, just for the giggles.
Thanks for the review, Gilly. I'm not sure what Sym are doing with the Fugue. They've essentially taken the Fiddle and replaced the (imo) lovely styling with an uglier design, de-rated the engine and reduced the fuel tank size. And are charging the same price. It also looks as if the new handlebar fairings would make it very difficult to fit a windscreen, which is easy on the Fiddle. Also, I don't see an ABS ring on the Fugue so presumably there are separate CBS and ABS models and in the UK we'll get the CBS one only, as with the Fiddle.
Right Gilly Bikes, nothing to do with your review on the bike im a few mins in and have to tell you you are looking thinner, your face has lost its roundness, no offence intended. not had a update on your other channel im guessing that will the the weekend? Keep going bud, it looks to be working!
Not sure what you mean by best performing? I had a Honda SH125i which was water cooled, had more power, was quicker, bigger wheels that gave better handling, had genuine abs on both front and rear disc breaks, traction control, stop/start to save fuel, regularly did 140mpg. It also had a full flat floor without a ridge unlike the Sym. The dash gave more information Yes it’s more expensive, but it’s a Honda and has a better resale value. It also had a top box which was colour coded and a tall screen and clear plastic hand guard accessories which gave better weather protection. The only thing the Sym has in its favour is its price, but on pcp that may only amount to £20 a month.
It's pronounced FEW-G as in the style of musical composition or mental health term for loss of self. Yes this is nice to see. The Fiddle was getting on a bit. It is going to be an interesting year for value scooters. Royal Alloy are replacing the GT with a generic Chinese scooter similar to the Fugue. I think this is good for them as it means all their retro bikes now have metal bodies. And I think I am right in saying RA are producing a Lambretta Series One clone for late summer.
Nice scooter that looks really good. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another SYM Scooter they are really good and mine has been 99.9% reliable I'm dropping the 0.1% off because in 9K Miles the bulb on the dash that flashes when right indicator is on has stopped working
It's out 365 days a year regardless of weather and I have 100% faith in its reliability . Would like to change from Orbit 3 to the Jet X at somepoint just for a bit more speed
Well it predecessor was the Fiddle another musical word........ EDIT: All these scooters have silly slight soft names. Honestly I do think it plays a part in why some men won't buy them.
As Sym owner I completely agree with Gilly's take on this, their 125 engines have really impressive acceleration. They feel a lot more sprightly than the specs would suggest.
I’m not sponsored by anyone. I ride lots of scooters. Some of them have higher HP numbers but they appear to be slower. This is not a sports bike, but for a 125cc scooter it’s one of the better performing ones.

New sym fugue scooter 125 looks cool little bike nice top box is good thanks for review class👍
It was a fun bike to ride as well. 😎
Another excellent vid Gilly,thanks bud👍🏻
You’re very welcome. And thank you.

Thanks. The guys in the garages I go to rave about them and their reliability. Brilliant at the price they sell them for.
Great review mate! I wish we have that color here in my country. :D
The colour is brilliant. What colour do they have where you are?
@@GillyBikes white, blue and black. :( I might get white if that color will not be available and we have 150cc 2V instead of 125cc.
@281vlogs you have the better engine. But I can’t complain about the 125. It works well.
@@GillyBikes Nice one mate! Might be getting one next year 😁
You look like you have lost a bit of weight mate, no wonder the 125's seem to be a little bit faster now, great review, nearly at 10k subs
Cheers. Yes nearly there. 🥳🥳🥳

I’m the same. Limited by money and space to put them. 😂
I love the colour. I really like that blue sparkle ❤
It’s brilliant. As soon as the sun hits it you can see lots of blue sparkling back at you.

Nice can you test the suzuki address 125 next.
I will keep an eye out for one. I’ve tried the 110 address and really liked that.
That’s a nice looking thing. Quite cheap as well 🤔
Amazing value really. Comparing it to other bikes that are more expensive. I probably like this more.
I hope they make a 50cc version of it, I love the style.
If I hear anything I will let you know 👍

Thanks for noticing. I’m doing my weekly weigh in every Friday. So will get a video out on the other channel Friday afternoon (hopefully)
nice one bud. and keep at it
Im sure many Indonesian like this scooter. I hope it will come to Indonesia.
I’m sure it will be even cheaper over there as well.
Looks good for styling and price...
They are brilliant. Nice and comfortable and I’m Really impressed with the performance.
@@GillyBikes Whats its max output ?
@katkylekim 8kw

I really like the looks of the jet 4x. Hopefully get to try one at some point.
Those heated gloves look good. Do they really work for that price?
They are brilliant. I was riding for hours yesterday and they kept my hands nice and warm. The rest of me however was bloody freezing 🥶
If I was to buy a Chinese sctooter, sym would be the only one I would get,but I would go for the most expensive one.
Understandable. They are the best scooter maker.
Is that a USB point above the ignition switch ? Thanks,
Yes it is. I completely forgot to mention that 😳
@@GillyBikes NO problem at all, you have a lot to remember during a review ! Thanks.
Is this a new engine ? 8kw and 10nm torque from AC motor is comparable to Sym liquid cooled version!
I’m not sure. It’s a brand new model so if it’s not a brand new engine they have definitely done something to it to make it much improved
So what about the CBS/ABS, you forgot to mentioned after the test drive..?
Sorry I got completely sidetracked. It’s both 👍
It is Fyoog. Hard G.
A classical music term.
I think I prefer Foogoo 😂
@@GillyBikes You'll find the pronunciation on Google.
Well it predecessor was the Fiddle another musical word........

I would definitely buy a foogoo 😂. I had loads of fun riding this around
I thought the name was pronounced fug you 😆
😂😂😂 that would have been brilliant
max speed 60 mph and 10.7 bhp hardly a rocket like your making it out to be 🤣🤣 is this video sponsored by Sym cos is sure sounds like it is ?
