15 years ago I was a technical documents translator, running into the phase 4 issues Dean described. I reached out to professional friends for advice, and what I was advised was to have a payment policy, demand half up front, etc. It turned out to be really good advice for that stage.

I have moved over to making videos full time with my wife on our channel DIY Wife and then coaching other people on how to create/run their own UA-cam channel so I can't say that I'll be back here anytime soon but there are a lot of videos here on the channel that cover a LOT of ground on using producing and GarageBand!

Thank so much for those wonderful ideas. With your continual encouragement i have now completed a Funky tune, instruments only. As you have shown Garageband certainly have tons of midi files. I shared the tune with my friends and they said “Did you do this?”.There are 2 major challenges for me, writing lyrics and repeatedly going over the song and changing the mix.Any tips on theses issues wil be welcome.Am a long way from becoming a professional producer. But you never know.

Thank you for your response. They were invaluable. A quick question. Recently I recorded a second vocal with instrument from Garageband’s loops. The mix was done and I Share/bounce the the recording into a wav file. When I play back the wave file it sounds crispy clear. The only issue I had was my vocal was panned to the left side of the headphones, despite the fact it was centralised prior to recording. This is the 2nd vocal track am having issue.
Generally when I listened to other pop songs on the headphones the vocal and instruments are all centred in the middle of the headphones. Some tips and help would be MOST welcomed.

Finishing projects is the most important thing I have learnt recently. I've spent the last 3 months working in a duo writing lyrics and singing vocals for a guy on about 30 different projects of his. They all had VERSE, CHORUS, VERSE, CHORUS (but never got to the bridge or outros). Eventually I said we should pick our favourite 5 of these songs to complete so we can go to the studio with them. 2 months on from that he said he basically carnt finnish any of them because he gets writers block. 🙄 (we collaborated because he was a far better instrumentalist so he did music and I did lyrics / vocals) in the end I decided i couldn't hack working with someone that doesn't finnish anything tho unfortunately. so kind of had to write off the 30 songs we part wrote together and decided it's just more fun to do it by myself. Shame because he was a great guitarist but not much fun when you never have a full song to work with or anything to show for months of writing together 😬

Yes just experiment with sounds and putting them together, let intuition guide you I can’t play instruments either and came up with some cool rythems. My problem is I can’t sing either for ever flat 😞
