In this video I will show you how I started to mod my old Oktava 319. It is an LDC microphone, very cheap and with a great capabilities for modding. The capsule is very very good. But the mic has some issues that can be solved in order to improve the sound.
This is a first part during which I am explaining how to mod the mic almost for free with a basic equipment.
I have already bought electronic parts so in the second part I will show you how to make a TOP CLASS mic from this one. So stay tuned and wait also forthe second part!
your kitty is so cute please give a treat and a hug from KeetaH - black cat from chicago .
Thank you. The kitty is 18 this month. :-)
Thank you from Downunder Australia Gray
Stay tuned. I am expecting a package for an electronic mod..
I just returned MK-319 because it ringed and resonated unbelievably I thought it was broken so I returned it.
I am not sure what to think about this microphone anymore, I really like how it sounds but that resonance and ringing makes it basically unusable for anyone who does not want to mod it.
Does the shock mount helps with this problem?
How it is possible that the microphone rings this much?
Thanks...
You need to use a mount that holds the mic and damps the ringing... the stock mount is useless. The casing is basically a musical instrument.
@@BohumirStehlik Thanks. Does the shock mount solves this problem completely out just make it better?
I am so disappointed with this I am thinking now about buying NT1 instead, but I like MK-319 sound much more. 😔
@@BojanBojovic Try to hold the mic in your hand or use a rubber tape to hear more...
@@BohumirStehlik Unfortunately I do not have it anymore, I returned it as I believed it was broken.
However when it was on its stock holder mounted on my stand I squeezed it hard and the rigging was still there but it was just shorter.
Well what did you expect from a russian made mic? They (russians) can't make anything decent.
