Fun fact if u use invis in the bastion and open the chest they can't see u even if u hold an item but make sure they are not very close to you when you are holding the item

Uh....skeleton horses don't need saddles to be moved? You can ride them like a regular horse without the saddle. Or is that Bedrock only? Also use a healing potion on the strider or maybe try feeding it the blue shrooms. Also, happy to hear you are doing better and Merry Christmas! Edit: I looked it up, it's Bedrock only :( That stinks that you have to waste saddles for skeleton horses
i'd say bastions are easier, since speedrunners have made routes to get all the loot and gold very easily, and brutes can be killed easily by building digging a 2 block deep hole, building up 2 blocks, letting the brute fall in, and then killing it with lava. easy peasy!
Guys If you raiding a bastion the easiest method is to do a stealth type attack it will be a new experience for you and also very easy use a bow from far to kill them before you reach the bastion

One tactic for killing brutes easily is pouring a lava bucket on them. Kills them quickly without aggravating nearby piglins
The Ancient City has The Warden which can be avoided, The Bastion Remnant has lava and Piglin Brutes that will attack you. I'd say the Bastion Remnant is the hardest structure to invade.
Edit: It is true that if you see Chiseled Blackstone in a Bastion, and mine it, there's a chance you'll find a gold block behind it.

For me, Woodland Mansions are still the most dangerous structure because vexes. Piglin brutes just need patience and a good bow. Merry christmas.

I'm loving this series! I also love exploring episodes. I can see not wanting to spend too many of your 100 days exploring. But maybe a cool idea for a series would be seeing how much of a survival world you could explore.

Bastions are dangerous by default, my approach towards Bastions is raiding it slow and steady by sniping the Piglins from afar, especially the Brutes.
Usually at this point, I already have a decently-enchanted bow.

You should try fishing with a fully enchanted fishing rod. You would get lots of saddles for days. By fully enchanted, I mean level 3 unbreaking, luck of the sea, Lure and mending.
I always bring materials for a portal,un case i get lost in the nether,or i want a fast entry to a bastion/fortress

I dont know if it was just me, but I thought I heard a difference in your voice in the last survival island video. Glad you are feeling better in any case!
My first portal in a hardcore world was above a lava ocean with basalt 50 blocks in two directions. The second one (a once ruined portal) spawned 10 blocks from a bastion. I quickly retreated.
Bastion:
-Piglin Brutes
-Knows when you open chests
-Firey
-Magma Cubes
-Tight turns and tunnels
-can't bribe brute
Underworld City:
-Scary Shriekers
-Dark
-Invisibility useless
-OP non-boss titan (blu shrek)
-sonic shriek of OP POWAH
-slightest mistake is deadly
-strong scent
Both:
Killing brute near Cat-alyst
Would you please give your Sally Strider a block of lava or two into her pen so she feels more comfortable in it while you´re away?
And one thing to ask: you can lure striders with those Nether-Mushrooms on a fishing-rod. Can you feed those mushrooms to them, too? to heal them?

I agree with you though. On paper, the ancient city is a walk in the park if you come prepared or you know what to do. The piglin bastion is another matter. I've tackled one in Bedrock and man, it was HARD!
ps. I haven't also visited an ancient city in my own world coz I really am scared, especially in the dark. I'd rather tackle the ancient city when I have a shulker box full of wool HAHAHAAHAH.

I find the Ancient Cities are easy to raid. If you take your time, and you're very careful, you can raid an entire city without even triggering a single shrieker. Bastions I die all the time. I panic and forget to use my shield, or I get cornered. I can only do them if I snipe the brutes with a bow and get rid of like 90% of them before trying to go in.

The Ancient City can be safe if you build some sort of Warden switch for Java or if you don't wan't to even see the Warden and if you are fine switching difficulties then just switch the difficulty to peacful then after you're done looting the Ancient City and got out of the cave switch it back to whatever difficulty you want
so in my opinion the Bastions are more dangerous than the Ancient City(obviously if you are still in the early game then don't go to any of the 2 structures until you fully maxed out Diamond/Netherite Armor)

bastions are easily way more difficult there are like 20 brutes that do you half your health in full diamond on hard difficulty. ancient cities are way easier because if you bring wool you can just not spawn the warden

Hey wattles I love the idea that you you did for the astronomy tower you did awhile ago with the planets and the sun on the sculk. Can I us it for part of the ceiling for my new storage building in my survival world? (The reason I’m asking is cuz I generally don’t like to copy stuff from other people but I would feel clean if I asked permission. ). :) also mud brick/pact mud/rooteddirt/granite/polishedgrainite is really cool as a path my design :) one more thing, I wish you wouldn’t hate on podzol and diorite so much, because they both have there place in building, I mean look at grians hermitcraft base. But all in all, I love your work on UA-cam and I hope you keep making awesome vids for us :D also how do you get back in to minecraft when you get bored?
