I just canceled the UA-cam TV. Greed is what driving these companies raising the price.
YT tv has been outrageously expensive from the beginning. Check out Philo
Btw I'm a satisfied YT "premium" no ads (music & YT) customer for about $14.
TONS of movies/content on YT.
Plus my over the air antenna..
$83 is nothing, especially to Clark. Best deal in town.
I used to be a 'normal' sports fan, yet an 'incident' during a football game bothered me and I stopped watching sports on TV. I thought it was going to be short-lived, yet after several weeks, I could not believe how much free-time I had to pursue other interests, rather than sitting in front of a TV. I have never looked back. Now, I limit my sports viewing to just watching the Super Bowl and World Series. Since my TV time went down, I cancelled my cable service and have been an 'Antenna-TV' person for about 15 years now.
Yep, when sports went woke and got all political, I stopped. I don't miss it at all anymore.
I think it is a slap in the face to sports fans that have been loyal for decades, that you can't watch an event on network television for free. The owners have the tickets so high that you can't take your family to a live event and now you have to pay to watch it on television. The owners and the salaries have turned sports into entertainment, no athletics. I am not a fan, but I am a consumer. This is an insult. This is how Rupert Murdoch made money building up Fox Sports. I don't pay for streaming entertainment. Don't care.
@@VeronicaAnderson-t2b These people should not be so selfish.
Great spread the news,,,,
At my previous residence, I dropped cable, put up an antenna, and signed up for 100MB internet. Everything worked fine.
At my current home, I use an antenna and have 250MB internet, the lowest speed package offered by the only available provider. Everything works fine.
Thanks for being an advocate for our Community Clark...your voice of reason is most appreciated!!
Clark, you are so right. We watch Pluto TV and the Roku channel. We were Amazon Prime members, so we do get Prime video, which is $15.98/month. That is the only streaming service we pay for.
I also have an indoor antenna and pick up all the NY City broadcast channels with excellent reception here in north NJ.
Part of the problem is content owners. When people started canceling cable and satellite, content owners turned to streaming services to replace that money. I realize that sports and good content is expensive. The truth is that greed also plays a role. Until we cancel in large numbers. Content owners are going to continue to push higher prices.
I agree Carol! Collectively, it takes all of us to make a difference! I got Frndly TV for my husband who loves vintage shows. I have UA-cam TV along with it and then you have to pay for internet. The cost is the same or higher as the old cable bill we used to have! It is greed!
LOL, A UA-cam TV ad just ran on this video.... Love ya' Clark!
My husband and I started a debt snowball journey in 1/24 and part of that journey made it necessary that we “ shop” every monthly expense.
We quit Direct TV and only watch free TV channels( Freeve, Samsung Plus Tv, Utube Free w ads, ION, Sling .
We find plenty of excellent programming, including our favorites like Heartland, Chicago Fire etc.
We are considering shopping our internet too.
Thanks Clark for all your helpful tools. 9:40
Cindy- 👍
Chicago Fire is one of my shows but I cannot get it for free. Any suggestions?
@ we get it for free on ION channel but it’s the past seasons
@@edwardholub9241not free but peacock has Chicago Fire, PD and Med
I’m in the same boat here! Have been looking at antennas and preparing my family for the shutdown of UA-cam tv. Was worried about watching the superbowl but it’s supposed to be on Tubi streaming. So I’ll be ok for the summer anyway.
i agree with all the free streaming but disagree with the antenna. tried that only get 3 channels and they are not clear at all.
I bet all Spanish!!!
We get 30 channels on antenna so depends where you live.
Same here, we get only 5 channels with an antenna. Location makes a big difference in how many channels you can get, so we watch Netflix & Prime tv plus the freebies…very satisfied. (I do miss the local news, though.)
I have a pair of rabbit ears behind my TV and get 45 channels. But obviously your location to your local TV towers matters. The TV towers here are all roughly a mile away.
@Clark
Cannot pick up OTA TV where I live. I purchased an expensive outdoor antenna from one of the 2 top brands and it does not pull in the channels!!
Am I the only person who does not stream anything? UA-cam (not UA-cam TV) is more than enough for me. There's more to life than television.
Crazy talk! What are you a communist? 🙀😸
Uh.. watching UA-cam is STILL streaming..
@@talldrummer1 You know what she meant. She doesn't use NetFlix, UA-camTV, etc. Other than paying for your internet connection (which is a lot as is), she is not paying for any additional streaming. I am like her. I have no TV anymore. I don't use Spotify or other paid music streamers either.
Same here ... cancelled NetFlix *years* ago (before the lockdown), no UA-camTV, not even regular broadcast TV, no Amazon Prime, no Spotify, no Sirius, nothing extra.
I simply don't have time to watch all those extraneous media, why pay for them!?
Popup blockers i screw YT with no ads.
The problem with a lot of these free stations that you’re talking about their programs are super old. I want stuff that that’s current.
I contacted them and they are leaving my price the same for another 6 months, lots of others have done the same. It was mentioned on a Facebook page for subscribers and it worked for me. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
Just pushing the rock down the road😏
Never have had subscription used an antenna since I lived with my parents.and now since it's a digital signal it's crystal clear
I bought a TV antenna for local stations and football. Works great.
WE are too far away from TV stations where I live, plus I live at the bottom of steep hills. I can't get any signals (and I've tried many different antennas) and is the reason I joined UA-cam TV after I canceled cable.
Too many mountains/trees in the way of using an antenna & not many channels available in our rural area. An antenna is not practical for us but very interested in alternative platforms to watch TV.
Wow Clark this is the first time I ever saw you I used to listen to you all the time on my way home from work 2010 and before. I always wondered how you looked. While I'm glad I saw you finally. I do have a antenna that sticks to my big bay window in my living room and I got the newest TV available with a Roku. There is a lot of channels you can get when you have a Roku TV as well. I also have that antenna I was telling you about to get local channels and I can get 63 of them free. But I have been using my Roku a lot and not the free channels on the TV alone. At one point I got up to 73 channels when I did a scan with a regular antenna. Nice to see you Clark was always a fan of yours.
Had DSL it was OK. When it started having issues, my internet provider up graded my to fiber 200 mbps. Now they bumped me to 500mbps which I don’t need. They said this is the slowest available now. But when you consider all the things that are connected to Wi-Fi , you probably need it. Don’t have any buffering. It’s a stronger signal through out the whole house
I'm paying about $100 for both phone & internet via Mint & T-Mobile. Medium broadband with a telnet hotspot. Can't beat it.
I've had antenna's for years (Channel Master's are great!) and love them. One time small payment, and thats it! I watch a good amount of Samsung's tv channels, also free with Internet connection.
Mine is cancelled right before my next bill. 🤷🏾♀️
I refuse to continue allowing these greedy corporations to jerk me around.
The ridiculous, constantly increasing high cost of sports content is a big reason streaming services keep raising monthly subscription prices.
Got pay those ball players millions.
Sling also instituted a large increase right after UA-cam TV.
Thanks Clark! We cut cable TV decades ago when it went up to $25 per month. The $82.99 is astonishing.
@@rustykatt3870 that was what we had been paying Direct TV.
We also cut our cell phone bill from $114.95 monthly w ATT to 55.71 w Consumer Cellular.
Cox Fiber is new in our area now so we may check them out soon.
We do have a business landline with the same company we get our internet with so have to make sure we can keep the same phone number if we do switch.
It’s been our company’s phone number for 39 years!
People need to know that if you have mountains between you and the TV station those little antennas don't work unless you are at the top of the mountain.
Agree. WE are too far away from TV stations where I live, plus I live at the bottom of steep hills. I can't get any signals (and I've tried many different antennas) and is the reason I joined UA-cam TV after I canceled cable.
@@ettevyvab9368 Have you tried a signal amplifier? Antennas really won’t work without them. Just thought I’d mention it.
I haven’t had a TV bill of any kind since 2009. Not even a streaming service. I have an antenna and I watch the free channels and apps on my smart tv.
Streaming is pretty much as expensive as cable now. Also, depending on where you live digital antennas may not work at all, or only offer a few channels.
Great Information thanks
After the increase announcement, when I went to cancel UA-cam TV, they gave me an extra six months at the current rate. But I’m planning to cancel as soon as the NBA season ends at the latest.
Then what after 6 months?
I got a cheap antenna and went with sling tv and I’m very happy
Do you live near a big city? In many rural areas the antennas won’t work. In WV where I live there are a lot of places where there is no digital reception at all.
the quality of TV shows and movies have gone down so much in the past 10-15 years, I used to look forward to watching shows or new movie releases but its all bad these days. too many movies trying to brainwash us these days I just want to be entertained not preached to
Looks like you could use the Gunsmoke box set!
Get an antenna and find a DVR/PVR! (DVR= digital video recorder / PVR= Personal Video Recorder - newer versions of a VCR)
We ditched UA-camTV 6 months ago, replacing it with Philo, saved $40 per month only losing local channels. Added an OTA antenna to pickup local TV for free. My only concern is the new ATSC 3.0 standard which will likely be encrypted and require $ for a decoder.
Antennas don't work in my area
I have Hulu because some of the channels aren't available for free and I like being able to DVR so I can skip the commercials as well as watch at my convenience. It cost more than I'd like it to be but for me it's worth it. I do wish someone would just come up with a service for small base rate and then allow a person to pick and choose what channels they like and only be charged for those.
Me and my brother only watch TV on our local TV channel’s.
We do not pay to steam any internet shows for roughly 10 years now. Internet mainly for work.
We are in a mountainous area and they can't run fiber, so we are stuck with 25MB DSL. Hate to say it, but that speed is fine. We can stream with no problems. Yes, I would switch immediately if we could get 100MB or 300 MB, but 25 works okay.
Hey Clark , I Have an over the air antenna in the atlanta area. I get the 1pm nfl games on fox and cbs 4 pm games on fox and cbs 8 pm nbc game and mnf is on abc a lot of the time so you will be ok!
Canceled UA-cam TV recently- price increased $10 1-2 years ago, and then recent $10 - 30+% increase in last 2-3 years. Bought an antenna and picked up 30 channels (incl. ABC, NBC, CBS) with great picture quality. Have Roku with lots of free streaming apps, but will miss Football and Hockey without espn.
I have Sling at $65.99 and a couple of TV antennas. 😊
But where to get an antenna and a television to support it??
Amazon and you just plug it into your tv even if it’s a new tv
Depends how far you are from a signal. We had it and it was great, we moved and now we get no signal
Tablo!
My husband made an antenna from a coat hanger and connected it to tv running it up into the attic through the old cable outlet in the wall -get 30 channels.
I love your internet tip ❤
What you don't mention is that the providers are at the mercy of the media companies. ABC/ESPN wants the YTTV or Comcast to carry all of their channels. They do not want a la carte pricing and they are always raising the price to the cable providers, which is then passed down to the consumer.
Found an antenna at Walmart ONN, paid $15.00 for it, I cancelled cable. My internet is $80 month, too high. Looking for less expensive service.
Yeah n u can add free apps on it very easy n free
I heard t mobile is $40 a month
Having an antenna forces us to be more dependent and locked in to the actual broadcast time. 3 hours of network tv can be 2:10 on a dvr. I’ll keep my UA-cam tv
I briefly had UA-cam TV. I spend much of my internet time at youtube, but not UA-cam TV. I merely put up with the ads. I watch at my computer, not from a couch, so I can fast forward through the pre-video adds and skip the embedded promotional adds. A bit more work, but not that big a deal.
Most streaming used to be free of ads. Now the prices have all increased and subscribers are forced to pay more because they've added sports and included ads. I could care less about sports and feel that I shouldn't have to pay more for someone else's benefit. These sports added services should be a separate package for sports lovers.
I cancelled UA-cam TV in December. Purchased a good, powered antenna and use Channels DVR now for $8/month. This covers OTA channels like local networks. The rest of what we watch is paid streaming and FAST like Pluto.
Roku and Pluto are good
When hulu live gets to high i will drop It is still cheaper w/ hulu than my old cable increase 6 years ago. I have roku youtube and netflix. I have an antenna for local etc. unfortunately antenna tv is spotty due distance. I always have options!
I was cancelling and got a 6 month of what I was paying prior to increase, but I’m done with them and HBO, Showtime & Starz cuz nuthin comes on that I want to see
Clark who is respected but old old school. You can’t get Bravo, Nat Geo, History Channel, Discovery, HGTV through an antenna.
Mobile Internet services have wildly inconsistent performance. My Tmobile speeds would range from 25 to 500+ on the download and uploads would go from 2 to 20. If you need to back up your computer online be wary of the cell service providers. Initial backups could take weeks to complete and daily updates could potentially run for hours.
I would pay another $100.month to have ZERO commercials... FAST is not my cup of tea.
I don’t do any paid apps or tv only free streaming with adds, why would anyone pay if it has adds free or stop watching it,life goes on.
With that notice we cancelled YT TV. We have Roku in or attached to every TV... One has Google TV.
Seems like that 2% inflation is compounded monthly 🥴
I canceled you tube tv. I like it for college football, the only sight I pay for now is friendly tv. I have a roku and they have a lot of free stations. I just can't get football or the channels like the five.
The other streaming channels are too high as well. The internet is just going up.
I thought about an antenna. I'll have to look into it for local channels
Over the air television is free. Buy an antenna if you have a week signal. We cut the cable 10 years ago and pay $19.99 a month for internet.
Lots of communities don't allow antennas. Also, some live in areas where antennas don't offer many channels.
who do you have for internet with that price
@@timratcliff6590 The name of the company is Astound by Grande communications in San Marcos, Texas
my time.... is not free.... watching commercials for 70 cents an hour... is NOT a good deal!
😢
I go to the bathroom, get something to eat, or check email during commercials.
Can you download, record watch on delay w a box?
@@DavidMosbyBoom 💥
I just look at my iPhone
This is true about the internet. I just notice yesteday that my internet went from 9.99 to 14.99. Xfiniity essentials. I called customer service and I was told that they no longer offer 50 GB, but instead increased the speed to 75GB. So automatically the price increased. Very sneaky.
I got the Andy Griffith DVDs at a thrift shop. Haven't needed tv since.
I’m with you. Got the Walton series.. Father Dowling series.. Mash Series…and some others from thrift store. Paying next to nothing.
We are canceling UA-camTV. Way too high.
I have Comcast and the most basic cable just went up I pay 230.00 a month
Clark, I'm surprised that you would use You Tube tv in the first place, seeing that you are about saving money!
Clark, can you see Formula One on any of your suggestions?
What else are you going to subscribe to that gives you all your local channels and 60 other main channels. Attenna only gets you maybe 16 channels with your locals and they are only in 720p.
I was served a UA-cam Tv ad.
Free antenna tv is not clearer or better than streaming here. It was wonderful until it went digital. Now you never know if it will be working
I thought this video posted several months ago??!!
Clark, get the NFL ticket pass. This is something that is meaningful to you and the spending on this “indulgence” is intentional and anything but haphazard. You get a lot back from this expenditure.
Clark, sell one of those wristwatches and you can afford the NFL season ticket. Sell the other one and you can afford YT TV!
Another nice tip - don't watch videos longer than 3 minutes. If they are read the headline - bounce through the video quick - and you'll be fine about 98% of the time.
All you need is NFL Red Zone. Worth it.
I paused UA-cam TV for 6 months. I’ll wait and see what happens. If nothing happens, I’ll cancel it. I’m all for OTA plus a few streaming services.
I would cancel Utube tv in a heartbeat. Some problem with online newspapers. Just cancelled WSJ and subscribed to WP due to price.
I use Hunter, and they told me I didn't need the biggest package. Plus, it's one rate for as long as i subscribe.
Your quality of life will go down Clark without NFL LOL. I canceled YTTV about 8 months ago. I watch a lot of European football which is my game, and the USA channel streams English Premier League games. YTTV offered me in Jan a rate of $68.99 for 6 months. So I jumped on it, then I'll cancel it because the price hike is garbage. I do like to watch my local channels, ESPN, CBS Sports, BBC, MSNBC and CNN on YTTV. Plus I also have Paramount + (English Championship matches and Italian Serie A matches from my Walmart + (half price offer). Plus I have Peacock TV $1.99 special and I can watch EFL (English Football League) games. But yeah UA-cam TV has gotten out of control.
Antenna? I have it. Didn’t do it.
Football is over anyway till September. If you dump YTTV now and until then, you'll have saved more than what the increase and NFL Sunday Ticket will cost. I'm thinking of dropping NF for a month or 2 which will offset the monthly increase
What if you only own dumb TV's?? Can you use an antenna & free streaming stuff?
I cracked up... Dumb TVs... priceless... I needed that😅😅
Have you seen how cheap TVs are now? Live a little!
@@JamesCarter-tc6bo Not about the cost.
connect a chromecast or roku usb.
No dvr, not watching. The ads are so bad.
They all are doing that! 🤷♀️
gave up youtube tv for Sling and UA-cam.. UA-cam can give news and snippets of cable tv programs
I'm ditching Verizon they are to high... what cell serviced yo recommend?
Changed from AT&T to Pure talk and literally cut my monthly bill in half. They use all the same towers
U.S. Mobile. We switched from $105/mo VZ for two lines to $33/mo US Mobile a year ago. Save almost $1000 per year!
Visible wireless
Visible Wireless runs on the Verizon network and is $25 per month, all you can earn; taxes and junk fees included.
I like T-Mobile home internet, but there is only Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile in my area.
Yes, it increased by a whopping $10 and I’m about to cancel. Tubi TV is great too.
No wonder the black market tv services are thriving. $20 a year for all channels and lots of video on demand
The best TV is illegal TV. I think around 2018, I bought a lifetime membership of 15,000 channels worldwide for $300. That was the same price of my cable bill for 2 months. 15,000 channels is overkill but I divided it up to where it only showed me American channels. Not only I get the channels but the on demand stuff too. It is 2025 and I'm still watching the same service streaming it of course. So I've got my money's worth and then some. The risk is, these companies shut down all the time. Just my luck this one didn't and I don't have any problems with it either. The service has been perfect since the day I got it.. I have it on all my TVs in the house and every time I have company coming over I get questions on my service and they want it too
Personally, I would cancel UA-cam TV, but my hubby is lost without it in his mind. Regular free UA-cam works fine for me. I don’t really watch television programs, movies, MSM, sports etc.
Just watch the NFL game highlights on youtube when they are done. Takes 10 minutes to watch and you don't miss any of the action. You'll be surprised how much wasted time occurs during an NFL game. You won't miss it.
I cancelled YTTV months ago. It’s getting to the price point of regular cable. I just use free streaming services.
My UA-cam tv subscriptions is getting canceled after the Superbowl
same here
I canceled UA-cam Tv also.
I live in Florida and get fiber internet 500 and the price is only $44/mo
I live in Florida and WISH I could get fiber internet! I'm about 10 miles outside Gainesville. Not exactly a thriving technology sector. There are more horses than people here, and they won't share their internet.
Spectrum is another that teases with entry prices. It's all a scam artist con job.
Watching commercials is not an option. I’ll just read a book.
There free all u need is internet n wifi the rest u can do all free once u get android 7 device n u can get it all free if u knowledge like me
Don’t use it for Tv - use it to watch you and others- stay in
The price of UA-cam TV is far more than the combined cost of ALL of my streaming channels. NO WAY!!
