- Over the past nine months, I have lived and worked in Asturias, Spain as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. Back in September, I moved to Ribadesella, a small coastal town in the north of Spain. This is the story of my experience here, as I've found my way as a teacher and adventured throughout Asturias.
Love this video! I will be starting my ETA grant in Asturias in September and I appreciate the advice about getting involved in the community.
Thank you so much! Congrats on your ETA grant in Asturias, that's so exciting! What city will you be staying in?
hi emily! this video was so beautiful! i studied abroad in spain last year and had a roommate who was a fulbrighter. from talking to him, i knew that i wated to do an eta too! your project you did with your students was so wholesome and heartwarming. i hope that you're able to meet them again someday and that they remember you for a long time
Awww thank you, that's so sweet! I hope so too
this was such a beautiful video that made me excited for the possibility of becoming an ETA myself, i even got emotional 🥲 the nature of this footage felt so sentimental, i felt like i was there a bit. i’m so proud & happy that you were able to come out of your shell and use this opportunity to become an immersive experience that you’ll remember 4ever !
wow thank you so much for this sweet comment!! 💗I hope you get the chance to become an ETA it is such a special experience and I definitely look back on it fondly 🥲
❤️ this video. I’m a very proud Asturian…living in the U.S.

Wow, this video made me change my mind about my Fulbright application and want to pursue my ETA in Asturias. Thank you for sharing such beautiful landscapes and your personal thoughts on life there.
@angiebarthel03 That's so cool to hear! Asturias is such a beautiful and special place, best of luck with the Fulbright! :)
Very great & sweet video! I'm currently teaching English in Japan and am thinking about trying to do this assistantship in Spain~
Thanks so much! That's awesome, I definitely recommend it!!
I'm an aux through the Ministry program and I love the idea to have the kids draw/create something that makes them proud to be Asturian 😊
It was such a fun way to get them to share a little about their culture with me!
Beautiful video!! I’m interested in pursuing a similar ETA program in southern Italy and this was super encouraging :)
Thanks so much, I'm glad you found it encouraging and best of luck if you do decide to do the ETA program in Italy - that sounds amazing!!
Amazing video!
I second this
Beautiful video!
Thank you!

Sinceramente, con esa belleza solo tendría ojos para ella, poco habría aprendido yo en sus clases.
PD. Para ojos, los de ella.
