No one ever teaches you how the lever system works in other tutorials. They say it’s common knowledge but I doubt that. Thank you very much for your informative video ❤️ love from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Well said and it so difficult to get confused as well with their easy way they say now close when you need it to be properly explained to understand properly.
How does this guy only have 6 subs like me and my friend are thinking of starting to cut our own hair and this helps alot when buying a clipper like u saved us
@@wisebarber bro this video alone should be major cuz the amount of people that have the same ideia of cutting their own hair or making a barber shop is big and this helps them but guess people just see what gets 100K likes
@@wisebarber never stop trying this video is amazing and easy to understand like anyone could get it there isnt any big words that i have to search for 30 min to find out
Im still getting confused. Ive been watching loads of hair cutting videos because Ive just bought some clippers and received my 360 mirror today - but Im a bit aprehensive, as I keep forgetting what open and closed does ⁉️ Glad I found your video - but I’ll need to keep watching it about 6 or 7 times before it sinks in. Not your fault - its mine - Im 62 years old now and getting more forgetful 🤣 But thanks again for taking the time to do this teaching. God bless.
Basically when it’s closed/up, it’s cuts the hair based on the guard you have. When it’s open/down, it increases the length of the guard so if you were to use a 4 guard, an open lever would make it so that 4 guard increases
When you switch it to open, it adds .5 or 1.5? I keep getting conflicting information. I'm new to buzzcut my own hair. I'd like a subtle difference from top to sides and back, but nothing too drastic. I want to try and keep it as feminine a buzz as possible, if that makes sense. 🙏🏼
Are you serious? why can't I find a barber who can explain to me what 1/2 closed mean vs 1/2 open? And what is the middle called that's between 1/2 closed and 1/2 open? why is this part always skipped

When you open the lever, it adds .5 or 1/16th of an inch. It can also be referred to as a half guard.
It adds 0.5
When cutting your beard and a low length, should you use open or closed?
If you're cutting your beard to a low length, use the closed setting for a shorter cut.
@@wisebarber thank you!
How is a half guard open shorter than a 1 guard closed in cutting??
Thank you so much appreciate that
Thank you❤
Is it 0.5 inch or mm?
