A lucky find but only as we were in Hull anyway otherwise it would have been very expensive with the petrol bill, still cheaper than eBay though! Cheers for watching Si. 😀☮️🚂
Hi my friend. Thanks for the great video you shared with us. very interesting Really nice movie thanks for sharing it. please stay logged in ..💓💝 ,, 💞 ,
Sorry Adrian I must have missed that in the edit however don't feel too bad as we do seem to bring the "The Well Chuffed Curse" with us! On a brighter note we loved your layout and I do say the hands give a sense of scale! Thanks for putting on a great show and I'm sure we will be back again all the best Rick. ☮️😀🚂
There are some nice layouts at the Hull Show. I overheard you talking to the guy behind the “Scarborough- Bridlington” line I think he said, in reply to Pauline’s question about whether the layout is based on a real place. It’s nice hearing you talking to the layout owners/operators , but sometimes it’s a little hard to understand what is being said. One suggestion which maybe helpful, and make your videos stand out, would be to put the name of each layout on the screen at the start and maybe the end of each piece of video. You have put some text onscreen as the video rolls along, so something like that would be good. It helps the viewer to know the layouts and refer to them in comments. You could also give the stall holders a plug by entitling the section with their shop name. You could pause the video with the text on, or just keep rolling to save time. However, I think that short breaks with titles gives your vlog a sort of chapter structure, which makes it seem quite professional. Don’t go overboard and spending heaps of time on it, but if you can manage it without too much hassle it may be worth it. It’s OK to play music on sections where there is little or no conversation, but I would prefer to listen to your conversations. You can always bleep out any expletives 😲. Your videos are really improved over your first ones, so well done 👍. You still need to go a little slower though when you are showing a model box, for example. Just count to 5 or 10, whatever works best, allow the camera to focus and the viewer to focus his eyes on the model box to read a little of the writing. The viewer can always pause the video if he wants to read the whole label, but he needs a good focus in the first place to be able to do that. I think that I am better at commenting than I would be at doing it myself. I know that I would be rushing through things too quickly. I think that timing is so important in getting it right. I hope this comment is useful and constructive. Thank you for sharing your visit to Hull and your great video! 👍🙂🚂☮️🍦🍦
Thanks for the tips Arthur it's really appreciated. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to get everything right especially when filming in public and it can get quite busy at times. We are filming again this weekend and we will see how things go. All the best and thanks for watching and commenting. Rick ☮️🚂😀
I bought the "Encyclopedia of model railways" new as a youngster, does that mean I'm quite old now…🤣😉 At least you could buy new wagons for under £2 then, you don't find an old one in a bargain now for that price🤣…
Hi guys, another cracking video, and a tender for 50p. What a bargain. All the best Carl.
Cheers Carl all the best Rick. ☮️🚂😀

No you're still a youngster Danny! £2 might get you an old unboxed wagon if you're lucky!
