A very modern and beautiful plane. Maybe I missed it. Is there no analog compass or artificial horizon instruments for backup ICO instrumentation failure? If the main power bus goes, will the emergency gen/bus power the digital screens? I haven't been in a cockpit in decades, but have digital instruments and the power busses they require, become so failproof that analogs are no longer needed for backup?
Hi Hifin, The Electronic standby instruments are powered by their own independent battery backup source in the event of a total power failure. The Cirrus G6 also has dual Alternators and dual ASHAR's units (Air Data & Attitude Heading Reference Systems). It's a very well thought out design for safety.
Not sure what an AHAR's unit is. Cirrus Aircraft G6 now include dual ADAHRSs (Air Data & Attitude Heading Reference Systems) as standard equipment. Previously, Air Data and Attitude Heading process were handled by separate components installed in the aircraft. In G6 aircraft the former ADCs (Air Data Computers) and AHRSs (Attitude Heading Reference Systems) have been combined into a single ADAHRS-- so what was previously four components is now two, saving weight and theoretically improving reliability.
Love this plane, wish I could afford one!
She's a beauty!!
That she is
What is useful load on that plane?
How much can I rent this beautiful plane for one day?

You can say that again!!
