PVE sounds realy good as it would help getting better gamesense and aim while not being in a competetive situations sounds realy good for me
please announce the cat game already 🔥🔥
Necrit alone is carrying the hype for the Riot MMO
but he shuold make another mmo vid. yes?
Yes
@@Skindred727 yesyes
Necrit did more to hype up the riot mmo than riot did
It got cancelled.
There's a reason why it runs so well. They use custom tools to modify the engine and improve performance. There's a long video of one of Riot's software engineers Riot Nu explaining how they use unreal for valorant.
Basically a custom engine, sheeeesh
@@thedancingphantoms4004 It's Unreal but with some riot customisations on it, like a fancy paintjob and some sound system
@@thedancingphantoms4004 UE4 with custom tools/plugins added
How can I find these talks?
@@Wardergrip look up "valorant's performance requirements" on youtube and skip to minute 10. It's an official unreal engine video where Riot Nu explains a ton of stuff.
Pls make a series about Valorant’s lore.
There is no lore
@@PkOrPvpdidn’t know clowns still existed til I saw you comment 🤡
@@PkOrPvp Are you trolling? This is not Counter-Strike, man...

Wait did he just soft announce/tease that he (Necrit) is making a video game? 😮
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. He clearly says at 16:28 that he hasn't announced anything!
He has been working on it for a while now, 2 years at least. He had shown it in his videos a few times before as well
Turns out he’s did the league MMO because he didn’t wanted to wait any longer for it
he has been working on it for a while has even played it a bit on stream
You saw the game in the video, the cute jumping game. It has been known in the past
League of legends on unreal would open a world of possibilities...
yeah and 70% of the community PCS wouldn't handle it.
They could basically use the wild rift models because those are way better compared to the pc ones
@@Diopside.someone’s grossly over estimating how much unreal takes lol
@@person2795 Wildrift's actual in game models are pretty bad and low polygones, way worse than League's because they're not made to be seen upclose on a phone like on a PC. The fancy models are only for the shop, collection and champ select preview, they wouldn't be compatible or gameplay ready without heavy work. Just look at TFT's latest set and compare Jax's model which come from WR with the others, its really low quality despite having been workee on a bit more.
@@Diopside.Even better because those 70% are either turbo toxic or should be spending their time doing something productive anyways
Actually, procedural generation is generative AI before it was cool. It's the same thing but with different, simpler models made by the dev in the engine.
I think a big reason for the move is that ue5 is still getting updates, and riot is big enough to work with epic on features they could benefit from instead of just getting whatever unreal gets organically.
We haven't had a decent tac shooter campaign in years. I do hope Riot is feeling ambitious.
An XCOM style game set in the Valorant universe would also be cool.
They won’t make a tac shooter campaign.
Dude, I think about this all the time! To me it would be perfect if we are controlling a division of Kingdom different from the Valorant Protocol, so that we can still have the procedural soldiers like in XCOM, and the Valorant agents would be special units that we could deploy from time to time.
What if Valorant did a version of Swarm and made a Horde Shooter mode?
They might be bringing-in other game modes. Ive always wanted a raid coop mode. Hopefully with character creation. This would be a game changer for valorant on the best case scenario
Warning,
WarThunder jump scare at the start
Valorant getting a story mode and more before Overwatch 2 lol (I know about the "Story Mode" Overwatch 2 has and dont think its allowed to be called like that the way they announced it long ago...)
A Valorant X-Com strategy game would low-key go hard tbh 🤤
Unless Riot is somehow cooking LOL2 in Unreal 5. it's not going to change anything to my life. i've barely played 1h of Valorant since it released
Drinking game idea: Take a shot everytime Necrit says “Unreal Engine”.
4:40 "something that will affect valorant entire universe"
replay system?
All I know is that cry engine back around 2013 was ahead of its time. I remember playing Ryse Son of Rome recently and I was shocked by how modern the graphics looked 10 years later
Necrit out here educating everyone about all of Riot games at this point
0:28 I need it I need it I need it I NEEEED ITT 💳💳💳💳💳💳💳
Valorant is doing OW2 PvE. They're literally just copying the idea and getting ready to cash in 😅
The fact that Tryndamere wrote a tweet saying "Success isnt about throwing more people or money at a challenge. We've seen small teams at Riot (and elsewhere) build incredible things, while large teams (both at Riot and elsewhere) miss the mark", which is pretty much exactly what Jeff told Bobby about making the OW-team larger, makes it even more suspicious.
Pair that with the fact that Jeff havn't been seen for 2 years and most likely had a 1,5 year non-compete.
If Jeff Kaplan suddenly shows up in the staff roll over at Riot you know whats gonna happen.
The man have 15 years of experience in developing Titan after all.
God thats gonna burn Blizzard so goooood!
that possibility made me smile for some reason.

NGL these dots give me hope I shouldn't have
2 MMOs? I don't believe they have the bandwight to handle developting two at the same time when they have already a big world to build on one.
So that basically means that we will get Valorant on ue5 before the replay system
Valorant single player campain would be nice like COD style with Valorant story.
1:40 Warcraft 3... One of the best games in existence. It was a great gameplay experience and had so much character! There were easter eggs all over, hidden treasure that rewards you for exploring obscure parts of the map and/or exploring creatively, unique serious voice lines for each unit AND goofy ones that occur if you click them a few times in succession and plenty more! I fear that there won't be many more games like this though, since a complete game that has everything you want/need, doesn't encourage spending more money on that same property. Reforged was a joke (and that I may or may not have pirated and played anyways because I love the game so much), not only because you could BARELY even call it a remaster, much less a remake, but also because despite it's glitchiness, it's tendancy to crash *often* , despite it being graphically, almost the same as the original that came out over a decade before, it also REPLACED the original game if you bought it through Blizzard, losing your access to the good version... that company man 😅
Anyways, tldr: WARCRAFT III MENTIONED!!!!
I can understand the appeal of custom engines in some respects. Licensing fee savings and control over your own development can be beneficial. Onboarding and increased initial investment are huge costs though. Given the heavy support Unreal receives, it makes a lot of sense to use it. Easily transferring assets is a huge savings.
It is a real talent to be able to make a 15 minutes video on a topic that could be explained in 2 sentences
7:04 If ANY game needs this treatment, it's League. Idk why they aren't swapping it to Unreal, in about, yesterday hrs 😅
Becouse it's massive.
So so so so so so many models and skins.
Its going to take a lot of time and resources. And riot rather spend that time and money on makeing a new game.
Its probably the destiny style of game that's been rumoured to be in the making for couple of years now.
Its so fkin joever get ready for %60 reduction in fps in general
I'm looking forward on what's to come. I'm just sad Necrit hasn't announced anything himself yet. *Sigh* Some dreams will always stay dreams.
Tbh i loathe UE5 and its effect on industry. I have yet to see if any AAA company does well with their transitions, CDPR is 90% fucking up witcher 4, bioware and 343 are jokes.
man i love Necrit's content Full of great information and a great touch of comedy to perfectly blend in and transition into other topics
i was waiting for you to do a video on this :)
0:52 oh, i was under the impression it got canceled, it is the game with most potential specifically for me so i hope it is somewhere in backgroud.
Uuuuh, the speech was so teasing the valornat MMO, so absolutely teasing it.
the way the outro zooped back in again made me giggle lol
You said X-Com... I'm in!!!
Valorant Co-op story mode would be great
If a storymode comes to Valorant, like i wanted for Overwatch, i'll actually start playing Valorant.
Oh and good luck on that totally not announced thing i didn't see clips of!
Does swapping to Unreal engine indicate a high turnover rate / fresh workforce?
seems so
They were already on Unreal Engine, just version 4 instead of 5.
To clarify, for new games they'd need to hire new people regardless of the engine. League and Valorant are ongoing games, so moving devs over to a new project isn't that easy.
In the case of Valorant, if they initially decided to create an in-house engine again they'd still need new staff to do this.
They wouldn't bring over devs from League as that engine is completely useless for FPS.
Oh wow, I didn't even know valorant was running on unreal engine 4.
Based on what the UE 5 engine can do looks really impresive and really ones the door for what they can do.
So when they said League will change forever in 2025, i was %60 percent sure they would switch engines/rewrite the game. After this news now I'm %90 sure. What do y'all think?
Necrit is basically RIOT's hypeman.
Imagine if League 2025 announcement would have been , League in Unreal Engine 5 , that would have been so good
i hate the idea of a valorant mmo like destiny, but i love the idea of a solo story mode for valorant, with different story boards for each agent. This might convince me to install that shit of a game again after being sober from it for a whole year
League could be ported to unreal 5 next year too, right? They did say some big stuff was coming for 2025
my potato pc might not be able to handle this change
Makes me more excited for the future of Valorant and riot in general
nice subitle foreshadowing necrit, i got it but i wont make any effort to decipher it.
Ngl, moving to UE5 might be the first sign of recruiting incompetent developers. Not that Riot has a lack of them
daily reminder that League of Legends runs on the same game engine as Big Rigs over the road racing does
Their engine works incredibly for Cyberpunk 2077... So that was just a false statement
I mean, reducing your playerbase due to the inevitable increase in minimum requirements to run Valo just to have a storymode seems dumb in all sorts of way
riot can go with an overwatch like game for Valo, and also a Destiny type FPS, Bungie has announced there will be no Destiny 3.
or how about a simpler solution. Procedural maps for valorant so you can spice up maps with new areas and ever changing environment.
Imagine if Riot gives the Valorant players what Blizzard failed to give the Overwatch players
what would be amazing was if league of legends were made in unreal engine to be more than spaguetti and also a better looking game with easly new game modes too and also the mmo
For a moment I was double checking whether I was on the right channel or not xD
They could bring league to unreal5... It would solve lots of the issues they have currently and in the future of that game
After CDPR went over to unreal I started doubting studios moving over to it for pure gameplay reasons. CDPR has an engine that can compete with unreal (it works beautifully for cyberpunk, they just had to sort out the bugs like any other game has to. Now it looks AMAZING).
Here's the thing, according to another polish dev (the kingdom come studio if I remember correctly) the studio lost all their key talent and they're now moving over to UE5 because every quota they hired can't use it and the experienced devs were chased away (likely due to political agendas).
Even ubisoft outsources A LOT for EVERY SINGLE GAME they make these days because they devs they hire are incompetent, but fill a quota slot.
So MAYBE riot are doing this for gameplay reasons... but tencent are also the guys who are currently hiring all the incompetent devs over at ubisoft, so I'm guessing they've been doing it at riot too... so this scares me.
If they're moving over to UE5 I'm scared of the talent they've hired these last few years and how they survived all the firings when so many experienced devs have been let go.
This is the only thing I've seen of anyone talking about Valorant.
I don't get the excitement about it. I don't like Counter Strike, so It makes sense that I don't like it, but It's a bit of a niche.
so maintaining engine is more expensive in house than outsourcing it
So they're saving money by using unreal 5, sounds good
Necrit, where is the lore vid on Soul Fighter? Ive been waiting like 2 years for it lol
6:25 start the main content
Looter shooter, that's the only thing that riot doesn't have yet
isn't there also rumors of leagur switching engine too?
I really want permanent PvE mode for Valorant.
its kinda crazy that UE5 when you make a game in PC, you can just press a few bottons and pum you have the console version. how far tech have got in the last 15 years.
Necrits comment about console porting is a gross oversimplification, and it’s usually not that simple.
A lot of things that work on one platform may not work on another etc., so it makes cross-platform support more complicated than just packaging for another platform.
Though yes, the tech has gotten really far and that is very cool!
all these companies moving to the same engine screams red flags at me. Cost efficiency is one thing but these quad A companies have a loooot of fat they can trim that would make more sense
valorant with a campaign mode would HIT SO FKN HARD AHAHEAHAHA
i SOOO love universal engines that are in CCP grasp. :)
Nice hat!
Halo announced that they’re switching to unreal as well
Society if Valorant was anything but a hero shooter.
Think we need to focus on gameplay not graphics. Feels more clunky and games can be more buggy
Godot has no real games yet, only a sonic thingy
Yo yeah infact do try covering valorant lore.
If you want i can help you with it, im pretty well versed into the valorant lore
you could have at least swapped to the more elite lumberjack sweatpants for the War Thunder ad, I was expecting more from you, do you even takes these sponsors serious?
I think if you make a valorant lore seuris it would be...great
Would love league to go onto unreal 5, might make it slightly less of a buggy mess. get rid of vanguard too its fine on valorant but it kicks me out of more league games than it should
Imagine if they remade league on unreal 5
Is a Valorant Battle Royale a possibility?
Imagine winning over Overwatch 2 by actually releasing PvE contents for Valorant kekw
Riot making Half-Life 3 before Valve😂
An incredibly inefficient engine with very poor optimizations i hope this doesn't spread to more studios
How many times did he say "engine"
We need a rework on league of legends. We get need things and nothing seems new cause of bad (old) engine
I bet we get a valorant card game first
@Necrit project F will be similiar to supervive ?
we getting valorant pve before overwatch
I hate when all games use the same engine. Loses the unique feel
Oh no, here we go again promissing a campaing mode for a hero shooter...
Extraction Shooter Valorant?
Generative AI ruined the world ai so hard that we have to explain how psg isnt shit
what if it was a sandbox type mod that is done in the valorant client ? like the one we see in over watch or cs ?
Still, they transferred their MAIN game to a new engine, tired of playing mammoth shit
Honestly, the only reason I played and sticked to lol bcz it worked on my potato pc, U% is the least optimized engine i've tried
Overwatch could never
