This video is great dude, you can make a review on a ryzen 5 5600g that would be amazing.
"If you buy this processor in 2023, and want to upgrade down the line, you have to buy a new mbo"
Not really. You could upgrade from r5 5500 to 5800x3d which is the best am4 cpu and comparable to i9
this is true, or even a 5900x/5950x if more cores are needed
But for those need a expensive b450 or b550 not the cheap model with no heatsinks

I hate to see 4000d case videos bc now I want to get one, and its pretty cheap in cybermonday (less than 100 usd in convertion)
I wish it had more 3.5 bays for my homelab needs aaa so beautiful
hmm something isnt right...even in the proper horizontal mount your 3060ti should definitely be getting WELL over 60fps in a 10yr old game like gta5. even my old 3600 was getting 90-110 fps in 1440p with my 2070 super, and the 5500 is slightly better than that. something weird is going on with your gpu if its barely hitting 60fps
yeah, I noticed that too. Those frames seem abnormally low for those specs
first of what do you define as "worth it"?
if you are comparing this budget processor you cannot say the ryzen 5 5600X is "only 50-70 dollars more", because that would be 50-70% higher price and that is a lot
in your verdict you are saying the 12100F is outperforming in games, but you show no tests or benchmarks for it, the only benchmarks you show are indicating that the 5500 is better than the 12100F
there are already a ton of benchmarks for this cpu and after this video people still dont know if the cpu is worth it, because it would need comparisons on the pricevalue of this cpu to other cpus
how does the 12100F compare, that you say it is better
in general you diverge too much from your main point of the cpu and make half of the video about the gpu-temps and how you mount it
Only 50-70 dollars more is not "only" for a CPU that costs 120 dollars lmao, that's almost twice as much. At that point, I can "only" go up another 50-70 dollars and get the R7 5700 instead.
Also, the 12100F is not rly outperforming the 5500, it's equal at best and the AMD is seriously quicker in some games like CSGO, RDR2, etc. ,like 30-40% quicker, and also almost twice as fast in other workloads. Not to mention, if you have a AMD graphics card, and you most likely do if you're making a budget to mid tier PC, you get extra 10-15% of performance from having both the AMD GPU and CPU as well on top of it.
Also.. . Testing CPU with almost 4k resolution? Ryzen 2600 would have similar results..
@@derbigpr500 I agree

Nice dude. I love that little processor! Sounds like a nice build.
Que tal va el ryzen 5500 con una rtx 3060ti?
Really not a fan of CPU coolers that blow the air back towards the CPU instead of towards the rear of the case - so the rear case fan can extract the air coming at it from the CPU fan. I suspect that is your issue with temps there, get rid of that CPU fan that blows air back onto the board/cpu. I had exactly the same issue when I once ran a virtually mounted AMD CPU cooler.
It blows no air back to the cpu because the cpu doesn't by itself throw air at the fan. These coolers are called downdraft. More about it here: ua-cam.com/video/meZ9YqsMP_I/v-deo.html

r5 5500 is a really good beginner entry level for people who want to start building their gaming PC
is it okay if i combine it with rtx 4060?
I wouldn't even bother to wonder if mounting the gfx card fans that way would hinder performance, it's pretty obvious just knowing anything about airflow that that is a very bad idea
If you are on an older AM4 board like b350/b450 then the 5500 is an ok cheap new purchase. But it trades blows with a 3600 with twice the L3 cache. Especially b550/x570 owners should never shop a Gen3 part like a 5500/5600G/5700/5700G. 5600 or 5600x is minimum for semi modern build for the gen4 support and standard 32mb L3 cache.
Definitely DON'T mount vertically a GPU right up to the glass- of course it will have very bad temperatures! That's a rookie mistake.
Also if you do Cinebench you NEED to show the single core performance too-it matters more in most games. Do not save 20 minutes by not running single core Cinebench test.
