Actually, people are harping about single/dual channel too much. If a game runs well on 8GB RAM, having 2x4 GB instead of 1x8 GB would not increase speed much -at best something like 10 % . And if you have 2x4 your upgrade potential is limited, especially on a cheap board with only two memory slot. If a game does not run well with 8 GB then it is better to have 1x8 GB memory because it is easy to upgrade (you don't have to sell anything) . As we can see from this example , RX 570 is running with full capacity even with 1x8 GB RAM.

The scaling goes further up after that too, 2x8 vs 1x16 is more like a 15-20% gain (read that as 20ish Fps gain, at around 100ish fps). A few years ago, when I was first getting into PC gaming, I ended up getting a Cyberpower PC at Best buy. It was a Ryzen 5 2600, RX 580 4gb, Gigabyte GA-AX370M-DS3H, 8gb ddr4 (1 stick), 240 gb ssd and a 1tb hdd. I got it on sale for $600. It's still a capable PC even though I have built my own since then. I might get another stick of RAM for it to upgrade it a bit, but it's still pretty good.

I run a ryzen 3 3100, 4gb 5500xt that I managed to build when the prices hit the roof, for the money it costed me (~650€)it was a really good base to upgrade I can strongly recommend the ryzen 3 3100 to new ryzen users, I've even oc'ed mine on stock cooler to around 4.1ghz and stays in good Temps it's a little 4 core 8 thread monster
Considering a Intel i3 12100f is cheaper than the 3100 I'd strongly suggest people to look for intel in the budget cpu market not amd as amd has not been trying that hard in that area with stuff like 3300x only coming out in name but now that they are available they are as expensive as 3500 and i5 10400f. You'd save more money with a 10100f system as a 12100f system compatible motherboard are expensive
@@Rxmxurs it all comes down to availability and pricing at the end of the day, the R3 3100 was much much cheaper like 40€ cheaper than the i3 10100 when I built mine so I bought that, I was really close on buying a 3300x but it got out of stock last moment
I mean I was stuck with a 3400g for a long time and forgot I even had a 1650 in my other pc started using that then I was forced to upgrade my motherboard and got a b550 rog stix and a 5600x was running the 5600x with the 1650 for a long while and finally upgrade to a rtx 3060 now it runs good 🙃
I used to benchmark graphics cards on a "reasonably priced gaming PC" that wasn't far off this spec, with the exception of dual channel RAM. The R3 3100 can't quite get the most out of higher end GPUs, or even midrange cards in eSports, but it does a surprisingly good job for the price.
Bought this pc it runs really well and upgraded this a ton and still using the EVGA 600w psu running a ryzen 5 5600x and a rx 6700 xt 32gb ram i even upgraded the cooler to a deepcool AIO

i have a cyberpower of the same model from 2020 mine was $700 new and came with a asrock a320 and a ryzen 3 3100 with 8gb two 4 gb sticks and an amd rx 570 4gb and a 600w power supply. i have slowly upgraded it in the past 3 years it now has an asus b450 with a ryzen 3 4100 with 48gb of ram and a amd rx 6500xt and it still runs great has the original cpu cooler and 600w power supply im planning on buying a custom built pc next year around tax return season and then just giving the cyber power pc to my family member
If you are playing any HD content such as Bluray movies or cinematic games like Shadow of the Tomb raider/Dying light 2, having your gamma turned up too high can effect the shadows and lighting in negative ways. And thus in turn the "Ambiance" of the game.

A couple actual reviewers have taken time with these new 8k keyboards and have found in some games you even have to turn it off in order to have a fully functional keyboard. The same can be said for the 8k hz polling rate mice.. Rocket Jump Ninja reviewed one and found that he had a lot of movement "cut out" when playing in 8k mode. Simple math here will tell you 8k refresh rate is just overkill and ultimately marketing nonsense. - 1000 hz, 0.001 seconds, 1000 cycles/sec 8k would be 0.000125 seconds If you think you can actually feel the difference (assuming both are operating with 0 errors) then you have bumped your noggin. Heavily trained Jet Fighter Pilots dont have reaction times this fast... I seriously doubt you do.
Doesnt mean its bad. Its a starter GPU that gets the job done at decent settings. If there was 8gb vram you could push the settings a bit higher and upgrading the ram to 16gb would help the fps a little bit in newer titles.

Don't want to fuck with that any more than I want to build my own car. If somebody isn't a "hyper" gamer plenty of prebuilts can be fine. Worst thing about most is removing the fucking bloatware. Just look for adequate specs for what you need and a case/fan setup that cools properly.
Got a hp gaming desktop for 899 from microcenter and it's a beast it runs pretty much everything high setting over 60 fps. Fortnite hits 160 fps on low to medium for me

this is the pc I use right now lol. All I have done to is it upgrade ram to 16gb, PSU to 850 watts, and the gpu to a 3060 and runs AMAZING!

Adding one more stick of RAM would not increase performance by much in games that require only 8 GB RAM. As we can see, RX 570 is already maxed out.
